I like the life brand products. They are pretty good quality. The only difference I find is that the packaging is not so pretty.

As I understand it most house brands are manufactured by a brand and labeled with the house brand, so it's always worth taking a look to see if the house brand has the same ingredients as the national brand. In many cases with pain relievers, vitamins and some cleaning/household product's it is the same and by the bottle you can tell the national brand equivalent.

I almost always purchase the Life Brand version of most products at Shopper's if available. Especially in pain killers and vitamins. They list the exact same ingredients, same dosages, same sizes, and are almost always at least a few dollars cheaper. The only exception is here and there with food items, when I just really prefer the taste of a name brand item (seldom) or in the rare event that the name brand goes on sale and that price ends up being less than Life Brand. I have no problem buying the generic brand if it costs me less.

When shopping at Shoppers I always check out the Life Brand products first before I buy. I've found that you can usually find that Life brand items are substantially less than the main brands especially in Vitamins, some grocery items that they put on a really good sale and feminine products. The nice thing about Shoppers Drugs is that, if in doubt, you can always ask the pharmacist for help.
