I thought I loved this candy, but these worms LOATHE me!

I've had this product twice now. I'm always looking for low-sugar or zero-sugar products, so I thought I hit the jackpot when I found these at the local markdown grocery store. Now I know how they were being sold off on clearance. First impressions, the taste isn't like regular gummy worms but for a healthy alternative they aren't bad. The flavor was as expected, and the texture was, too. What WASN'T expected was the near immediate stomach gurgling (After consuming not even an entire package of the stuff, like what, 6 worms?), and the onslaught of diarrhea that was to rip my insides to shreds. These should be called Gummy Parasites rather than Gummy worms! I'd heard about those sugar-free gummy bears that caused many consumers similar issues, but these are different (And from a different company), so they shouldn't do that, right? Wrong. I even had a second package (RIP my insides) to confirm it was the worms doing this to me. I googled reviews to see if anyone else warns of this effect, and I haven't found anything... So either those reviews got deleted or buried, or I'm the first to experience this. The fact that these USED to be on Amazon and got taken down, however, is not a good sign. Personally I won't be trying ANY sort of sugar-free gummies in the future, since it seems that mankind's technology just hasn't evolved to the point of creating such an item without nearly killing people like me. IDK about you guys, but I'd stay far away from this product and anything similar to it. For the record, while I myself suspect I have some digestive issues, I've never been diagnosed with anything such as IBS or the like...
By the way, I felt such a strong need to warn you guys about this item that I literally created an account here JUST to post this review. If you can manage to eat this without turning inside out, I applaud you and am quite jealous as I wish I could enjoy this product. EAT WITH CAUTION.

When you want to splurge without the sugar

How does something this delicious contain less than 1g of sugar? Usually there's a catch with low or sugar-free candy, they usually contain controversial artificial sweeteners like maltodextrin and aspartame. The sweeteners used in these sour gummy worms are allullose, erythritol, and stevia. I'm prone to digestive issues so I was nervous about the erythritol, as it tends to upset my stomach. However, I didn't experience any discomfort after consuming the whole pouch in one sitting (they're addicting!). This tasted so much like the traditional sugar-loaded gummies that I kept re-reading the nutrition label to see what I was missing. The only thing that really separates these from the "less healthy" competition is that they get stuck in your teeth a bit. Lily's are more of a gum drop consistency. The two flavors were delicious, and the sour to sweet ratio was just right. I would highly recommend these to others looking to cut down on their sugar intake, but still want to indulge!
