Overall, I don't think that this a bad product at all, but it's certainly not the best that I have ever used. The pros: It's very convenient to have an attached dye comb on the bottle opening. Certainly, it's less messier than having to use a separate dye comb. The color I got is medium brown which seems to match quite well to my existing color. Except when I am in sunlight-that's when I notice that my dyed roots seem a bit lighter than the rest of my hair... The cons: The formula is a bit on the runny side, so I was continually patting more dye onto my grey roots to make sure that they are well saturated. I also left mine on for 30 mins instead of the recommended time. But then, I have stubborn roots. Also, the amount of product that you get is a lot less at the same price point than what is being offered by other competitors. Like I said before, it's not a bad product, but I honestly can't say that it is a great product, either. It does the job that it is supposed to do so far. It's been four days since I have done my roots, and the color so far has survived one shampooing with no fading. I am interested to see how well the color stays on after more shampoos.

Easy to use overall, and after giving it a lot of time [with a fair number of resistant greys to cover I always give a ton of time], it worked well. I'd buy again! Compared to other products I found the application easier to spread [but I still felt the need to rub it in with my fingers, still no glopping].

Root Rescue blended well with the colour that I had previously used and it managed to cover the few greys that I now have! It is quick and easy and is by far a cheaper solution than going to the salon to get a touch up. I would recomend thsi produst to anyone who needs their roots done.

I thought that this product worked well in terms of covered my hard to cover greys. The smell of the product was not too strong and it was easy to apply. I recommend this product.

According to my regular hair dye color, I had chosen medium blonde for the color to match my hair color. There are good things about this product: it is easy to mix and apply. The comb type applicator makes it very easy to apply product to hair roots. Another thing I liked was that it only takes 10 minutes to color roots. The downside is that the medium blonde color root rescue did not match my medium blonde hair dye color. My other problem was that the bottle did not provide enough product for my very thick hair. My resulting root color after application was a reddish color. I have not tried other root dye kits so I have nothing to compare it too. I would try this product again for its ease of useand quick processing time, but I would try the light blonde color instead to see if it would match my hair better.

The product mixed easily and well and the application tube with comb were very good but there wasn't quite enough to get all the grey hair around the temples and roots. I left it on for 15 minutes to get full coverage for all the grey hair, but it wasn't enough to cover some stubborn greys. This might be also because I ran out of the product. The colour was great. It matched my hair perfectly. There was no deep conditioner included, but I used one because it was necessary. I hope that the fact that there isn't one will help to keep the price lower. I might not buy this but i would recommend it to friends with less grey hair to cover at the temples and roots.

I was very surprised at how well L'Oreal's Root Rescue worked on the gray hairs around my temples and across my forehead. The timing was great, it really did work as quick as advertised! I have never used a root colouring kit before. The applicator helped to get the colour where I wanted it. The whole process from start to finish was very easy and didn't take much time at all. The only thing I didn't like was the scent. I would recommend this product to my friends, we're at an age where we're not quite ready to be gray yet! I would buy this product again. I was very pleased with the outcome. I have used another L'Oreal product: L'Oreal Couleur Experte Express Two-In-One Multi-Tonal Color System. I'm so pleased with the experte express product that that's what helped me make the decision to try Root Rescue. Cheryl Steffler

It's a good dye for just the roots. However, the color was bit too dark for me, as I have brownish hair on black. However, im sure a graeter colour selection would do the trick. It was not irratating at all too.

Product worked great. I was concerned whether or not that it would blend in with my hair colour as I use a different brand and it did. Instructions were easy to follow, quick application and my greys were covered. Only negative is that the die was sometimes clogging up coming out of the applicator. I would defintely try it again!

I tried the product today and it's working great! it feels really natural and the color is really good. I like the fact that it doesn't make a big mess when you put the color on. i would definitely recommend it to others.
