I was thrilled to try the Mineral Loose Powder in Nude as I'm not a user of this type of coverage. With an open mind, I tried it. Yes, it's VERY LIGHTWEIGHT and made my pores smaller, and luckily unscented; for sensitive skin, this rocks. However, I didn't feel the coverage was enough for me. Although it evened out the redness on my cheeks, it was still transparent (hard to hide the freckles). I have dry/combination skin and it's as if I can feel the powder residue on.

I decided to try the product on my mom to see if the results would vary. She has oily/combo skin. Let me say... WOW... IT WORKED AMAZING. My mom has blotchy skin, and that was pretty much covered. She looked like she was airbrushed; a flawless canvass that did not look made up at all.

I think this product could be a hit or miss... I definitely preferred the liquid foundation, however this one will provide you with a natural finish :)

This was my favourite product in the line! I have used powder foundations before and prefer them over liquid foundation. This one was as good as or better than some higher end foundations I have used. The coverage was great... not too heavy, but evens out my skin tone very well. It compliments the concealer very well, but can be used very nicely on it's own for those lighter make-up days! I love that all the products are mineral based, but this one in particular, because I will be buying it again! :)

I've never used loose powder foundation before, only compact powder foundation. That being said I thought Maybelline's mineral loose powder foundation was alright. After applying Nude to my face I thought that it seemed to make me a touch orange-y but when I took some pics with my digital camera it didn't seem that way, in fact my skin appeared quite natural in all the pics I took. I would also say that the powder provides light coverage, not light to full like it is advertised, though it does blend very nicely. It also works well at preventing me from becoming slightly oily by the end of the day. All in all I would recommend this product to someone who wants a light coverage foundation that looks natural.

I definitely prefer this over Bare Escentuals brand for many reasons. It doesn't make my skin look shiny and oily, doesn't make my skin itch (no spf - sometimes it agrees with me sometimes it doesn't), and the diameter of the case is big enough for a proper mineral buffer. It has a light-medium coverage which gives a natural finish. I prefer something with a bit more coverage though. I decided to use it as a finisher over the liquid version and it worked wonderfully together! It's long-lasting and lasted through a sweaty workout! The colour I chose was Honey Beige and I was pleasantly surprised that it matched my skin perfectly. Doesn't look chalky and gives the skin a luminous glow. I'd recommend it!

I was really impressed with this Powder Foundation. I think it's really worth the money, it is better than many higher end brands that I had tried!

I normally use Bare Essentials, but my biggest issue with that is for one the container was too small to fit the brush (so I would make a mess everywhere) and second it would make me shiny, which was really annoying.

The Maybelline Powder left my face smooth and shine free the entire day. Best of all it didn't make me shiny. The container is also large enough to fit the brush, which is good... also large enough so that I can swirl the powder in the cap.

I have this in Nude. It matches my skin tone pretty well.

The only thing that I didn't like was the brush applicator, it was way too stiff and rough on my face. Instead I used my B.E. powder foundation brush, and it gave me a wonderful smooth application.

This was my favourite item! Seriously! I was really skeptical about how well a loose power foundation would work. It works wonderfully! I reviewed the other foundation as well as I have combination skin so, I only used this on my "oily" zones. It was so great. It covered my face evenly, it stayed on and didn't come off onto my hands or clothing, it didn't itch and I didn't break out from it. These are all fantastic things as I sometimes react to the "drug store" brand cosmetics. Both the liquid and power foundations are now my foundations of choice. Also I did experiment to see if I could use half powder, half liquid foundation, and let me tell you, they match perfectly when you wear them at the same time. This is great news for me and my combination skin! I will go out and buy this once I run out, I highly recommend it!

I liked this! It didn't go on too thickly, nor does it rub off on clothing or if you pass your hand over your face. It stays on all day, and made my skin look younger! I was really impressed. My only beef with it is that it is somewhat messy, getting the powder out to brush on my face left powder all over the bathroom counter. I don't tend to wear alot of concealer make-up, but this gave my face such a fresh and young look I would willingly take the time each day to apply. Also, it looks quite natural, as no one at work realized I was wearing more make-up than usual!

Having tried another drugstore mineral foundation before, I can honestly say that the Maybelline Mineral Power Loose Powder Foundation, in comparison, is much better. I have L'Oreal Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation stashed in my makeup drawer, and I don't think I'll be reaching for it any longer. Here are my findings:

    - Packaging: Fantastic! The wide diameter of the sifter jar makes picking up the product super easy. I can actually fit and swish my own brushes in the jar with ease, which was a huge problem with L'Oreal's foundation.

    - Coverage: It is a really good buildable foundation. I would say it is light-to-medium coverage. A little definitely goes a long way. The result is naturally flawless looking skin.

    - Colour and Texture: I got it in Sandy Beige, which was a perfect match for my skin tone. I really like that Maybelline made this available in an array of beiges, making it suitable to many different skin tones. It is finely milled and not at all chalky, which makes it easy to blend evenly into the skin. The application is sooo smooth to the point of yummy. It never feels like I'm wearing any makeup when I wear this.

    - Oil control: I found that it worked well in keeping shine away from my face. At the end of the day, my face is not as oily as when I wear a naked face.

What would make this product perfect is SPF protection. The L'Oreal foundation includes SPF 19, which is still less than what everyone needs to wear, but better than nothing.

Overall I was blown away by this foundation. I didn't have any expectations for its performance, and it came out as a winner. I will definitely buy this when I run out.

I really liked this translucent powder. It was extremely useful for the touch ups when you wanted your face to feel fresh. It's super light weight and gives your skin a good matte look. Probably my favourite out of all the products.
