I was really curious and excited to try this mascara. I finally received it and used it the day of. At first, it was kind of tricky to hold down the button and use it the same time, i kept slipping and it would turn off, but after a while, i got the hang of it. I was really tempted to do the zig zag motion like i would with other mascaras, but i really didn't need to in order to achieve the same effect. The wand is delicate and it creates a nice even coat on your lashes. I find that for the first coat, you really don't need a lot of work to get lengthened, curled, even lashes. Doing one coat will give you natural looking long lashes. If you do another coat, it gets a bit thick, but gives a nice, full dramatic effect. After the second coat, i wiped off the excess on my brush and ran it through while the wand is still vibrating, this helped separate the lashes even more. I also used in on my lower lashes, surprising, it worked really well. The wand does tickle your eye a little, but nothing that will irritate my eyes. overall, i really like the mascara and the concept. I will be repurchasing.

this stuff is pretty cool. first of all it is simple to use-all you have to do is hold down the button to make it vibrate while you apply the mascara. i found that you really have to apply it slowly to get it right, because if you try to reapply (more than one coat) it gets clumpy. also, watch out because the vibration tickles!
what i loved about this product is that it covered my lashes all the way to the tips, so they were long and black wih lots of volume.
the only thing i really disliked about this product was that the applicator wand seemed very flimsy-like it might break when you're tring to put it back in the tube. and the price (around $18) seems kind of high..
i will definitely be telling my friends about this mascara and recommending they at least try it out!

I am so excited that I got to review this mascara for the review club! I had almost bought a more expensive brand of pulsating mascara (I want to say it was Clinique) but held off. Glad I did....

I like this mascara! I like it better than my too faced lash injection, actually! However, I must add similiar comments to the reviews posted here:

It did NOT make my lashes thicker....even though I applied more than one coat.

It DID make my lashes appear longer and did a GREAT job at separating them in a non-Tammy Faye Baker sort of way!

It DID go on SMOOTHLY-I didn't have huge clumps!

It did NOT last through the work day....when I got home after 4 hours of work, I noticed flakes.

I feel like the pulsation is an added bonus, however I genuinely appreciate the formula of the mascara!

Yes I will use this mascara-I would like to see Maybelline offer this in blue or purple as well.

Thanks for letting me try it!

I have to say I am on the fence with this mascara. With the vibrating wand, I only needed a couple strokes to get the effect I was looking for (any more and you run the risk of your eyelashes clumping together). While I was impressed with its easy application, my eyelashes didn't look particularly spectacular. I would say it worked well as a daytime look, lengthening slightly and providing good definition, but I got no "luscious thickness" as promoted on the package. That being said, the mascara wore really well on an extremely hot day, during which I worked out in nearly 30 degree weather and then went to the beach. I didn't get those unsightly smudges under my eyes, which is a huge bonus for me. Overall, I will continue to use this mascara, but I don't think I'll be running out to a buy a new tube when this one runs out!

Most people wouldn't want anything that vibrates anywhere near their peepers, but Maybelline's Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara may actually be the one thing that you do. I was wary at first of the vibration, but if you let the wand do the work (kind of like an automatic toothbrush) than the result is a flawless application. It went on smooth: no clumps, no heaviness and no mess. The vibration did feel kind of weird, but it can still be applied without it. When I went sans pulse, the results were only that of an average mascara, with maybe a little extra length. It was definitely fun to try the new technology and I would recommend giving it a shot, but when this tube runs out, I probably won't rush out to buy another.

Hurray my first time to receive a product from chick advisor!
I was so excited that the first thing I did was rip the mail open to try out this new gadget!

I must say I'm a little disappointed though. I found that the vibration didn't work very effectively for my top lashes and its better off without it, but it works magnificent for bottom lashes! I guess this is because I have short bottom lashes and if i move my hand too much, mascara gets it on my skin. So the vibration is perfect cause I just keep my hand still and let the wand do the work!

    For the bristles:
this mascara comes with stiff plastic bristles which I extremely dislike! The material is very stiff and pointy and it hurts when it brushes against your eyelids. I personally prefer fiber bristles a lot more because it is more flexible and i find that it separates my lashes better. The plastic bristles on this wand didn't do a good job separating my lashes for me. With the vibrations, it made a mess instead.

    The Formula:
the formula is thick and on the gloppy side. It clumped some of my eyelashes together to form one big megalash which looks long and full... but also gave a fake and plastic appearance.
So its up to personal preferences if you like the soft and natural effect (not what this product offers) or the full and fake lash effect.

Overall, I would continue using this product. But wouldn't purchase a second tube when this one runs out!

The gadget based world is getting stranger by the day indeed, but simultaneously more and more convenient for your everyday business woman on the go.

I am one of those people who believes that mascara is one item within the woman’s purse that’s a MUST no matter how much make up you wear or do not wear on an average day. So I am generally very picky about how my mascara looks and how effective it tends to be.

Needless to say when I received this innovative technology in my mailbox I was eager to see it in action. And boy, did it provide action! I am thrilled with this product because it made my eyes pop at 8 am which is usually impossible to achieve before my 9 o’clock mocha latte! The vibration wand was easy to handle and the sensation that other reviewers felt in their fingers was obviously expected from the battery power. However, I usually go for that accentuated look during my morning make up ritual and I have got to say this time around there was absolutely no need to blow dry my eyelash curler before applying my mascara, it achieved that final effect allowing me to skip that time-consuming step!

The mascara did not clump during my 8-hour work day and I did not require the banal bathroom checks-ups and touch-ups.

I am absolutely intent on repurchasing this item again in the near future!

When I heard about this mascara, I thought it sounded very interesting. I had never heard of vibrating mascaras before! Technology sure is getting stranger and stranger. I was very anxious to try the product though, because it sounded like a very good idea. A vibrating brush would mimic the zig zag motions that you would normally do when applying mascara, using much less effort to put it on. Instead of zigzaging the brush, you just hold it up to your lash and go from the root to the tip, and it does the work for you!

First, I will talk about the ease of use. This was very easy to use, it's fool proof. All you do is pull off the plastic tab at the top of the tube of mascara, open the mascara, take the wand out, and press the button at the top when you want it to vibrate. To get it to stop, you release the button. So even if you found the vibration to be a little weird, you could use it as a normal mascara if you wanted, you would just not press the button when doing so. Tada! Very easy!

I really liked this mascara. I didn't need to apply many coats, as just doing a couple of strokes does the work. As a matter of fact, I'm not quite sure if I got the hang of it yet, because my lashes look a tiny bit spidery, so I think I did TOO many strokes. Ladies, you only need to stroke a few times! Once or twice is good!

When you apply this, it tickles your lashes! It was a very funny feeling, but I liked it, hehe.

The mascara coats every lash evenly. It didn't do much for volume, though as I might have made them a bit too spidery, it's hard to tell. It did make them look longer, that's for sure. The mascara's texture is a little hard on the touch, and there were a few clumps, but all in all, it was a nice mascara. I'd say it's a bit above average because it's faster to get a desired effect (because of the vibration). It is also above average because it increases the length nicely.

It gave me the length I desired, though not the volume I wanted. It was easy to use, fast, and very effective. It's definitely on par with the other 2 mascaras I own right now, which are Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Mascara and Dior's Diorshow mascara, in terms of lengthening. Definitely above average, though I wouldn't say it is my favourite mascara just yet. I'm still on the search.

I would definitely buy this product again, as I believe it was effective and did what it said. I would also recommend this to my friends. It is not only a very interesting concept for a mascara, but it also works!
