The Wii is a great for both gamers and non-gamers. There are endless options of games varying from sports, to cooking to puzzles etc. I don't use it that often but it's a great console none the less. I think the great thing about it is that there aren't gazillion bajillion buttons and functions. It's very user friendly and direct so all ages can enjoy it. I've seen a tv feature about a old folks home installing the Wii as one of their entertainment/activity and it was a hit. This goes to show how everyone can enjoy this. I also love how it can incorporate action/movement rather than just pressing a button. If you're looking for an activity for the family/date etc. the Wii won't disappoint.

I didn't get into video games until I met my current boyfriend but have become quite the gamer, so this is from a gamer's perspective:

    - The price: most consoles are released at 500-700 bucks a piece, so being released at 300 is a HUGE difference
    - The excercise factor: there is no comparison between this and real excercise, even if you get the Wii Fit (which I have), but if you're just getting into it it's a cute and fun way to start getting active, and if you're competitive you can get a pretty good sweat going
    - Great for parties
    - The biggest downside is the limited variety of games, especially in terms of games especially designed to work with the Wii's special controllers.

It might be a fad and it might stick around, but it's really up to Nintendo if they invest in more and better games for the platform.

I think this is becoming a main it thing to have in the home along with rock band!!! I enjoy the different variety of games. The only issues I have are that the graphics could be better and to be be careful when handeling the wi remote lol

This is a great system. Even though you're gaming, it gets you up off of your tush and gets you moving. Our 80 year old friend from church has one and loves it. My autistic 6 year old even loves it, and he doesn't usually care for games. The accessories are great, and I love the fact that it's wireless. You can do so much more. In my opinion, the price is a little high for a family on a tight budget, though.

The Wii is so fun! If you play Rayman: Raving Rabbits (I think that's what it's called) you will never be able to stop playing. It is HILARIOUS. The sports games are also really fun :)

What an amazing gaming system!!! I have yet to buy a Wii because I can't find one and need to save up the money but I play my friends' Wii's when I see them and it's out! It is soooo much fun to actually be involved in a game.. as in more than just pressing buttons! Even if you don't have the money for one, you should find a friend who has one and have a little fun playing on their system - you won't be disappointed!
