With N.Y.C. being a very affordable brand of makeup, I think it was a smart concept for them to produce a dual ended eyeliner pencil that would give you two shades in one. Every pencil comes with a black shade and is paired with another color on the other end. The opposite color I chose was "Mockingbird" which is supposed to be a beautiful, multifaceted blend of colors. It changes from a silver white to blue and pink shimmer. The only problem is, in order to achieve any form of pigmentation, you need to really dig the eyeliner back and forth into your skin. Even at that, I still wasn't satisfied with the turnout. It didn't develop a smooth line, but was rather patchy because of all the tugging against the skin. It's a shame, considering the black pencil is pretty decent. I was expecting the same quality on the other end, which is the main reason I bought the eyeliner. Although I am rating this product as average, I wouldn't consider repurchasing it because in essence, you'd be paying full price to use only half of the product and there are much better black eyeliners out there. With that being said, I do appreciate how affordable the brand is in general.
