Too sweet
I have made overnight oats before and enjoyed them a lot as the perfect, easy breakfast (especially for summer mornings). But the Quaker Overnight Oats, while simple to prepare, were much too sweet for me (and I even have a strong sweet tooth). Personally, I’ll be passing on these next time I’m in the cereal aisle.
Way Too Sweet
Got a free sample coupon from ChickAdvisor. Two servings in plastic containers are $3.29 at the super market. so $1.65 a serving for about a half cup of oats, almonds and a few other things. Add your own milk - i used cow's - set in fridge overnight and consume in the morning. initially the taste is OK and the coconut doesn't taste too fake but with each bite the amount of sugar is spine tingling. Also the texture, close to that of instant oatmeal is far less appealing when cold. Overall not convinced.
also, the container will not be portable as the lid does not close tightly so this is not something you can pop in your purse and enjoy later.
Too Bland
I like the idea of overnight oats. I just don't care for the taste of this. The almonds and coconut was really good, just the oatmeal is super bland. Even warming it up didn't help. I won't be buying this again.
