Remember Me? by Sophie Kinsella Reviews
#895 in Books

Description

After taking a nasty bump on the head, Lexi Smart awakens in a hospital convinced that it's 2004 and that she's just missed her father's funeral. It's actually three years later, and she no longer has crooked teeth, frizzy hair and a loser boyfriend. Initially wowed by what she's become—a gorgeous, cut-throat businesswoman—Lexi soon finds herself attempting to figure out how it happened. As her personality change and lost memory threaten her job, Lexi tries to dredge up some chemistry with her handsome albeit priggish husband, Eric, though the effort is unnecessary with Eric's colleague Jon, who tells Lexi that she was about to leave Eric for him. Amnesia tales may be old hat, but Kinsella keeps things fresh and frothy with workplace politicking, romantic intrigue and a vibrant (though sometimes caricatured) cast.

If you like a light read, chick-lit, or are a fan of the Shopaholic series then you will truly love this book! This is one of the only books that I actually like to re-read! This book will have you chuckling to yourself the whole way through! I think this is may be Sophie's funniest read, and I have to say I like it even more than the Shopaholic series!

While I didn't read any of her "shopaholic" books, I thoroughly enjoy her stand-alone novels. This one was a great summer read. Quirky and funny. It had me laughing out loud more than one time!

I love Sophie Kinsella's book from her Shopaholic series. So when this book came out, I grabbed a copy right away. However, I would say that this book is lower than my expectation and I would just say that her Shopaholic series to me were more interesting and funny.

I picked up this book as soon as it hit the shelf. I found it to be funny and a light easy read. It had many laughs and it was a little different from what Sophie Kinsellas writes. It was almost like a mini love triangle with Lexi, Erik and Jon. Kept me on my toes but it was a little unlikely that something like this would happen in real life.

Yes, this is another cute tale from Shopaholic scribe Sophie Kinsella. While it lacks the hilarity of the Shopaholic series or the (relative) depth of an Emily Giffin book, it's a fun light beach read.

Like another reviewer commented, I found the believability to be a bit of a stretch. It's not my favourite Kinsella book, but I still recommend it!

This was such a cute book. The plot was very intriguing and it just makes you want to keep reading. The story is about reliving your life and learning from your mistakes.

Lexi wakes up in the hospital and the last thing she remembers was from 3 years ago. She wakes up with a new life, a new look and a newly acquired marital status...

I love Sophie Kinsella and have enjoyed every one of her books. This one I finished in a day and it was a fun light read. It wasn't her best, but I did enjoy it. The book is believable and fun, but the ending I wasn't too keen on. It didn't make sense to me that her personality would be that drastically different in only 3 years to the point where the decisions she made then would be so unsuitable now.

I don't want to say more than that because you'll have to read it for yourself! Make sure you read the intro. I often skip straight into Chapter 1, but the intro is really the first chapter of the story. If you haven't read Sophie Kinsella before, start with Confessions of a Shopaholic. One of the most enjoyable books I've ever read.

I also read this Remember Me by Sophie Kinsella and agree with the other reviewer...it was one of those books I wanted to read through quickly to find out what was going on. I read this book in a few days and it was a nice light read. I enjoyed the subject matter as well and definitely recommend this book!
