Up is a pretty good family movie. I don't recommend it for young kids though because I saw first hand how three to five year olds couldn't care less about this movie. It really only gets interesting for them near the middle to end.

The beginning sequence is very sad, and really a fact of life for most people. I'm sure everyone has had hopes and dreams that didn't get fulfilled because life got in the way.
