Great idea that falls flat

After using up a whole bottle of this serum, I had to throw in the towel. It did nothing, absolutely nothing for my skin. If anything, instead of improving skin texture, it made every single dry patch more visible and my pores could probably be seen by a neighbouring galaxy.

Such a disappointment, as Vichy Aqualia range of moisturizers is my jam!

Je me suis procurer ce produit avec la crème de jour Idealia ainsi que la crème de nuit. Tout d'abord, j'ai été charmée par l'odeur et les commentaires positifs des gens que je connais sur ce produit. Même la cosméticienne de la pharmacie ou je vais me l'a suggéré. Je me suis alors rendu compte, par des recherches, que la gamme Idealia est principalement conçu pour les femmes d'environ 30 ans et plus. Je n'ai que la mi vingtaine et je crois que ce produit m'a mal été conseiller puisqu'il ne semble pas faire de différence sur mon visage, ou du moins je ne vois pas vraiment de différence. Ce produit est relativement dispendieux et je regrette beaucoup mon achat car il traine sur le comptoir de ma salle de bain depuis presque 6 mois déjà. Je crois que le Aqua thermal de Vichy m'aurait plus été approprié.

I really wanted to love this serum because I use the Idealia Eye cream every single night and I LOVE it, and have tried the Idealia body moisturizer in the past which I also really liked. Unfortunately, this serum didn't work for me. I like to apply my serum underneath my moisturizer but this didn't properly absorb into my skin so when I went to apply my moisturizer on top it would start to ball up and peel off my face! Even when I tried to skip moisturizer to see if I could make this serum work, even touching my face would cause the "peeling" and I felt like the product was just coming off my skin. It always felt like it was just sitting on top of my skin, and I never saw any benefits from using it. I was actually really surprised that this wasn't good because I am a HUGE Vichy fan.

limited results with this product. I found that the active ingredient vaporized with face heat and got trapped under my prescription glasses making my eyes burn. even with the foundation applied on top after application I found that in warm weather once my face started to perspire the same reaction would occur...too bad for me as I found the product hi quality and richly nutritive for my complexion. the product goes a long way as a little dab is all you need

this product didn't do much for me. I don't usually enjoy using a serum. That being said, it was okay. Not too sticky. Just not a preference for my skin. I would still like to thank Chick Advisor for letting me test out great new products.

The serum comes in a very elegant pink bottle. It is very silky soft and spreads wonderfully. Only a small amount spreads evenly. The quality is good as far as serums go. I have been using the serum for 2 and a half weeks so far.
I must admit though that I am very disappointed with the effectiveness. I have not seen refined pores, or rested facial features or an even and illuminated complexion. In fact I have seen no change what so ever that serum claims will happen, not even in a small way.
Unfortunately the product did not work for me so I cannot recommend it but many other reviewers have had good luck with the product.

I was definitely excited to try this since I love trying new products and I've never tried serums before but sadly it did not work out for me.

Not only did I not notice a positive change in my skin but this made me feel super oily.
Generally my skin isn't too oily but because I have short hair that sometimes sits on my forehead I sometimes find my tzone gets oily and this product just amplified that, making it even more oily. It didnt matter if I used this with my Vichy Skin Sleep or in the morning with my regular day moisturizer I just always felt oily.
Someone with dryer skin may like this product though!

When I received my gift 2 weeks ago, I was impressed with the look/feel of the bottles. They appear high quality and very luminescent. However, the pump bottle is very finicky. You have to hold it very firmly and push the pumper straight down. If there's any angle on the push, it will not pump. Hard to do with damp hands after washing my face. I am sensitive to scents, however the scent of both these products is light and natural.

1.How did Skin Sleep / Life Serum perform based on its advertised benefits: Moisture is the advertised benefit and it does moisturize, however it provided too much moisture and caused my skin to be oily & I developed larger pores and a few pimples.

2.How did Skin Sleep / Life Serum perform compared to similar skin care products you have used in the past? I havent tried any similar products as they are usually quite pricey, however I use a basic moisturizer at night and they (Aveeno, St. Ives) moisturize without causing breakouts.

3.Would you recommend Vichy Idealia to a family member and/or friend? I might if they needed intense moisture and didn't have sensitive or oily/combination skin to begin with. However, there are much cheaper products that do better for me, and I would recommend those before I recommended these products.

4.Is this a product you'd consider purchasing again? No. Due to the fact that it caused my pores to become inflamed, caused cystic acne, and it is also very expensive. Products that cost 1/5 the price work better for me and my sensitive skin.
