Got home and half my grocery order was missing, I called Voila and they said they would have to do an “investigation” before they would give me my money back. So now they had both my money and the food! Thankfully the store manager listened to me and gave me a gift card. However, I never did hear back from Viola despite having requested a manager call back. I called again after 10 days and told they how disappointed I was with the service. They admitted that they needed to do much better.
As a side note I asked if it was my responsibility to get out of the car and check the grocery order for accuracy in the parking lot, and I was informed that was the responsibility of the store to double check it before bringing it to my car. Many balls were dropped … I will not use this service again !

Voila Curbside Pick Up So Convenient

From the ordering to curbside pick up it was easy and convenient. When I called for my order I requested no bags, the staff member emptied all the bags and put the grocery items in my containers,stellar job. The products chosen for my groceries were as I would have chosen, stellar job! The only thing I would like if we can put a note on order before finalizing order..eg Note of no bags needed

A great grocery alternative

This was my first time using Voilà, however I already had a Sobeys account so all I had to do was login. I was able to add and collect Air Miles as normal.

Sales prices that are listed worked, although multi-prices do not appear to work. Using the checkout process and placing my order was pretty easy. I did have a promo code that I was unable to use. Like other online grocery pickups, you are timed so it it good to have a list or have your online cart filled before you select a pickup time slot.I also miss the option of not being able to use coupons.

Nothing I ordered was out of stock, so I had no substitution issues.I was very pleased the produce selected for me was all very fresh and the sizing was to my preference. I had no issues with anything in my order.

When the time came to pick up my order, the snow had been coming down pretty hard, and even though it felt good not to have to get out of my car, I felt guilty for the Sobeys worker who had to be out in the snow loading my groceries. They were very helpful and friendly.

Voilà is not offered at my normal Sobeys location, but it functions well and a great alternative to having to shop in store when you don't want to, or especially during these times. I also like it for using heavier stuff. I would definitely use this service again.

Inconsistent

They don’t keep you up to date on the order and/or substitutions. I asked for Italian dressing and rather than substituting for something alike I was given ranch. The pricing was incorrect on the website so after a 30 minute mostly on hold phone call I was told they can’t honour the price that was on the website, but she could edit and correct the website. Thankfully I’ve only done two orders, both were inconsistent but I did them because I had two $15 off coupons. I won’t use them anymore until they learn how to do this better. They need to become more consistent and learn better customer service before I use them again.

Good but don’t really need it

It was a nice process but I’d rather go inside and choose my own groceries, but it wasn’t too bad at all. I would recommend to some friends that like this method better.

It saves time and buying it online is really simple and fast and will save you a load of time I would recommend using this to anyone who uses Safeway. The one thing is though that you can’t personally chose your products so you ah r to hope the date is what you want!

I was unable to use the code. I placed an order, which was ok. However I feel there are better platforms. They are not at every Safeway so it actually would have been easier for me to go to the actual store near my house(which is what I ended up doing) than place there order however the code made it worth it.
The day of the order I got a message saying my credit card has a problem (in all honestly I had input the number incorrectly) so they cancelled my order, did not give me a chance to change it. Just cancelled the order. It was The 30th of December and everything I ordered was for NYE so I just went to the store instead.

Meh

Ordering online was painful. Website didn’t flow smoothly, as I tried moving back and forth between products, the page would reset, meaning I had to look for my items over again. Price wise, the groceries cost at least 20% more here, compared to my normal grocery store.
It was -37 when I picked up. The voila parking spots are out in the main parking lot, meaning my groceries were pushed out in open top bags, making some of my produce borderline frosty. There was no opportunity to swap to my cloth bags. I paid the .10$ a bag fee.
The lovely person who picked my order and brought it out was respectful, friendly, and kind. I appreciated their positive attitude and smile, as it was a frigid day.
With the out of the way parking, making winter grocery pick ups difficult, and the extra costs associated with the store, I’m not sure I’d use the service again.

Incredibly easy process!

I’ve always been hesitant to use a curbside pickup option. Either the time slots are booked days out or items are poorly selected. When I received the opportunity to review Voila I was hesitant, but I’m so glad I did! Not only were there convenient time slots available that day, the service we received was also very personable and substituted items were carefully chosen and in one instance a second option was presented at time of pickup. It was only a matter of minutes from time of arrival to the groceries being delivered to our vehicle. I will definitely try Voila again! #voilabysobeys

Happy that Sobeys is offering curbside

I am happy to see Sobeys has finally joined the curbside game as I really enjoy shopping there. Overall it was a good experience but a few things could use some work. Firstly, when I arrived I had to call the store 3 times before someone answered. I’ve never had this happen with another curbside service, maybe they were busy but they really should have someone designated to this. I was the only car parked for grocery pickup and it still took about 10 minutes for my groceries to come outside. Finally, they put my groceries in paper bags and charged .15 cents per bag. This is fine but they used about 10 bags for groceries I would have fit in 4. I do like how user friendly the app is and there are many pickup slots available. It would be nice if they had free pickup time slots or if it was free over a certain amount. They have a good selection on the app and was able to get everything I needed. Also they didn’t need to substitute anything which I was really happy about. Overall I’m really happy with the convenience of this service and will definitely use it again.
