Super convenient way to get groceries

I've always wanted to try grocery delivery and this was convenient. The groceries are decently prices with even some items on sale! And even though there's a charge for delivery, it may be worth it because you save on the time and expense of having to travel to the grocery store yourself. The delivery man called me 10 minutes before he arrived and all my groceries were neatly bagged. He also assured me that he took the temperature of frozen items to ensure it's still cold. I think his service was great and would use this service again in the future. It's convenient.

Convenient, is a DEFINITE time saver !

Was lucky enough to be selected from Chick Advisor to test this out with a $ 25 certificate towards my $ 100 grocery purchase. The web site was very easy to work with and had very good selection in the departments i chose to visit.
When the truck came for delivery, it has a freezer at the front 1/3 of the truck and then the cooler product was in the back, in bins, on shelves sorted by order. Driver was well within the delivery window, friendly and a good representative for the service.
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the produce > it was great ! Ordered grapes, tomatoes, cantaloupe and bananas. Note to self for future orders - bananas come in a 3 lb bag and there are 8 - 10 - be prepared for banana bread or eat fast.
Ordered a selection of frozen food - no surprises there; all still frozen as noted above - watched the driver pull bags from the freezer.
Ordered fresh meat - chicken breasts (good size, nice and pink) and pork soulvaki. No complaints with the meat however Sobeys is known for good meat.
I ordered dry goods, dog treats, and a few other items > all organized / bagged by department. Noted that this is pulled from warehouse product, not store product and was very pleased with the whole experience.

Grocery's delivered professionally to my door from Sobey's

I grocery shop on line often as I purchase for two households.
It took me a while to navigate the site as it was new to me and perhaps not as advanced as some of the larger grocery store chain sites. Sobey's so far does not have their flyer on site but if you search their sale items you should see some great sales. I did. most items have no ingredient list but most of the food I order I am already familiar with the ingredients. I did receive a discount as part of a Product Review Club offer . I also managed to find sale items which makes me want to order again and I definitely will. My best experience was delivery .Delivery was on time, the driver called 10 minutes ahead to notify me and to go over details like a complete contact less delivery and how all food is safely delivered in their large truck with all health measures, temperature controls,freezers, fridges etc. The delivery driver was extremely polite and professional.
WILL ORDER AGAIN FOR $7.99 DELIVERY TO MY DOOR. THIS IS A REASONABLE PRICE

Service With a Smile

What I loved most of my experience was the ease of access on the Voilà website. The categories and layout of the site were very easy to use as well as the search bar.
There were two categories that lacked a range of variety that I'm used to on other delivery sites and that was the Bakery and Fresh Produce. The delivery man explained, the company is still building the online inventory and that it will be resolved soon.
The prices were in the range of most supermarkets. I did, however, enjoy and take advantage of some of the buy one, get one selection and the delivery cost was also very reasonable at $7.99.

The deliveries arrived in the allotted time and the driver called within in 15 minutes of the delivery, which I felt was a great personal touch. The gentlemen who delivered were polite and were very knowledgeable about the next steps and improvements that were to come with the online orders.

Overall I had a very comfortable and pleasant experience with Voilà and will use the service again. I do recommend you give it a try.

Excellent and fast home delivery service for groceries

I tried Voila by Sobeys, the new grocery online platform.It was easy to register and order took me 15 mins, very user friendly.I received my groceries the next day as requested on time at my door step and I had requested for a call before delivery and they did so. It was convenient and my neighbour who is 85 asked for the details too as she saw the groceries come to the door and not many stores do that in our area.We happily recommended it to her and glad we got to try this platform in collaboration with Chick Advisor.

Great service, but too rich for my budget

I was glad to have been selected to give Voila by Sobeys a try. I have never had home delivery of groceries before so it was a completely new experience for me.
They have a huge assortment of products to choose from, but I found the website to be somewhat cumbersome. Just when I thought I had viewed all of the products, I drilled down under a category and found more. My biggest complaint would be the inability to view ALL sale products at once. Unless I missed it, there was no option to view multiple pages in a category. If I did miss it, this is a problem as well. The site should be easy to navigate if Sobeys expects repeat customers. I also had an issue providing my full home address. The site just wouldn't accept the information. I placed the order with whatever information it took and hoped for the best. I received a phone call from customer service to fill in the blanks as they could not deliver the order as entered.
The delivery process was great. Booking a time slot is easy. I received a phone call when the delivery vehicle was getting near and asked where to leave the items and whether I preferred another call when delivered or a ring of the doorbell. Products arrived on time and in good condition.
I'm not too please with two other things:
1. There is a $7.99 delivery fee. Most companies waive this fee after a threshold amount. It appears Sobeys does not.
2. Sobeys charges $0.05 per grocery bag. You can keep the bags and give them back for a credit on the next delivery. Why not use boxes? More environmentally friendly. Plus, the bags were very inefficiently packed using much more than needed. (Please note, this charge is currently suspended due to COVID-19, but I'm sure will resume soon enough.)
Bottom line, I would recommend to a friend, but warn them the items, as expected, as very pricey.

It’s not free delivery but it’s amazing!

Tried the Voila delivery service, and it’s hands down the best one! Fresh foods were fresh, the ice cream was not melted, the chicken was good quality. Only problem is the $8 delivery fee, which does add up over time.

Too pricey

I was able to try out Voila by Sobeys grocery delivery service at a slight discount through a product review offer that I received through Chick Advisor. I was quite excited to try this one when I saw the offer come up and I kept hearing about it on the radio..but was a little disappointed to find out that it cost $7.99 for delivery!

The website is easy to navigate around but I would say that the selection for some products is limited and the quantities are not appropriate for certain family sizes. The pricing is significantly more than regular grocery stores and I would much rather just click & collect to avoid the extra costs.

The produce arrived fresh and delivery driver was on time. If it wasn't for Covid I would likely never have tried or be interested in a food delivery service. I can see this service being useful for those who do not have a car or grocery store nearby.

Great New Grocery Delivery Service

I received a discount on this service as part of a product review.

Aside from a couple of things, my overall experience with this service was excellent. The delivery person was extremely courteous and arrived exactly in the delivery window, also providing a telephone call about 20 minutes prior to arriving.

There are a few things that they could improve on: overall it is quite pricey; there is not a great selection of fresh meat; "deli" meat is prepackaged, you cannot order by grams. On the produce side, it would be convenient to be able to order the exact number of bananas you would like (ten bananas, even small ones, is too much for a one-person household)

The quality of every product was perfect. Anything perishable or with an expiry date (dairy, produce) was extremely fresh and of excellent quality.

I would definitely recommend this service.

Easy delivery with great customer service!

I was able to try out voila by Sobeys grocery delivery service through a product review offer that I received through Chick Advisor. I had never done grocery delivery before and was keen to try it out.

Sign-up was easy with multiple availability times. A lot of selection on non-perishables but would have liked to have seen more variety with the perishables (meat, fish and fruit). As a regular shopper of the thrift banners (No Frills, Food Basics), pricing was on the higher side. Delivery fee was a reasonable $7.99.

Fifteen minutes before my order arrived, I received a call from the delivery team letting me know that they would be arriving at my home soon. I waited outside, and when the truck arrived, the driver waved hello at me before parking. The friendly service continued as they outlined their process and safety protocols with me, and retrieved my items.

Very satisfied overall with the ease of ordering and the professional and courteous service received.
