Voila - It's that Easy

I have heard about this service all over the place since it launched. Through ChickAdvisor product review Club I was offered a $25 discount to try the service with a $100 grocery purchase. I have used other grocery delivery services and Volia holds up to all of them. There were no substituted items, everything arrived as expected in perfect condition and temperature. The team member who delivered the groceries was efficient, friendly, and helpful. The online ordering process could be stream lined and there were some basic things I was looking for that they didn't have.

Overall a great experience. My husband is of the opinion that this is the only way we should purchase groceries going forward because of how easy and convenient it is.

Would recommend to those too busy to shop or who are uncomfortable going grocery shopping at this crazy time. I can imagine this being a great service for planning special meals for special events. If you know you are going to make a special dinner on the weekend, you can order your groceries to arrive for Saturday morning and you don't have to leave the house! Huge advantage in that.

I was fortunate to be selected by Chick-Advisor to test out Sobey's new home grocery delivery service. I received a discount code on placing a order of $100 dollars or more, I could save $25.00 dollars. Ordering was easy, I was able to sign up and click through the item categories for the grocery items needed. All but one of my items were available but were packed well. I received a call 15 mins prior to my delivery-time slot letting me know the groceries were on the way. The gentleman that arrived knocked on the door first to make I was home and dropped the bags at the door. Being a new service he quickly explained the program and advise that if I re-use the bags on future orders that I would get the value in bags back in a credit. In all the groceries were in good quality and I it was nice to get the front door service and avoiding the sometimes long lines to go shopping these days and beating the heat as well. This service will come in handy when I'm tight on time. Will be using this service in the future.

I was able to try out the new Voila by Sobey'a grocery delivery service with a $25 discount from ChickAdvisor.

Very satisfied with the speed and quality of groceries. I placed my order on a Saturday morning and was surprised to see that I could choose a delivery time for the next day! On the day of delivery, I received a text from the driver when they were nearby, they actually got here 10 minutes before my scheduled delivery hour as well. It was a contactless delivery but the driver did speak to me briefly about the whole process.

The groceries were all packed in bags based on category, and the produce was all fresh and good quality. Would definitely use the service again!

Easy to use and prompt delivery

After registering for an account on the website, it was really easy to use. I was pleasantly surprised of the wide range of products available considering the produce were coming straight from a warehouse as opposed to an actual store. However, I found the products a bit pricey compared to the regular grocery stores but thanks to @chickadvisor, I got a discount code so it made it more affordable. The delivery was very prompt.

Yes, I would use this service again.

Super simple to place online order. I received my order the next day (less than 24hrs)!
All my items were fresh, frozen (which was confirmed safe zone temperature by the delivery person) and packaged/bagged properly. Including extra bags for cleaning supplies and meats that could leak.
I didn't mind paying a fee of $7.99 for the exceptional service that was provided. Some of their prices were a little higher than some grocery stores.

Excellent grocery delivery service!

I received a coupon for this service through Chickadvisor, and so received a discounted rate. Overall, I found this service to be excellent! We’ve still been doing grocery pickup recently, but with this service they deliver your groceries right to your porch! The bags had different handles to show which items needed to be refrigerated, which shows that they have an excellent process going. The delivery person was right on time, very efficient and pleasant! There were also no items missing or substitutions, an issue I’ve been having a lot with grocery pickup, so I really appreciated that! In an email they said that the groceries come from a warehouse rather than a store, so the selection available was excellent! Would definitely recommend, especially if you want an efficient and time-saving service!

Friendly service!

I was surprised when I was picked to take part of this campaign from ChickAdvisor and Voila! By Sobeys. So to start off, I do have to disclose that I was given a coupon code discount in exchange for my honest review.

It couldn't be easier to order groceries online, especially right now during the pandemic. Going into stores can be a little scary and overwhelming, and shopping online eliminates that. The Voila by Sobeys website is very easy to use, and I was able to schedule my delivery for the same week as I was ordering.

You can choose your groceries based on categories or you can use the search engine. What's nice about the Sobeys site is that you can also shop from other stores in your area, so for myself I could pick groceries also from Farm Boy, and Chalo FreshCo. And, there are sale prices. Which is awesome because some of the competitors only charge regular price.

I will say the day I placed my order, some of the items I wanted to order, said they were out of stock, so I was a little disappointed in that, however when I got my order confirmation, I was given a few days to modify my order. So the day before my order was delivered, I was able to log in and those items were then able to be added.

The day of my delivery, I received an email to say my order was processed and it would be delivered in the time frame I picked. The driver (Emilio) called me about 15 minutes before my delivery and said he would be at my house then.

Once he arrived he unloaded my groceries out of the refrigerated truck, rang my door bell, and stepped away giving some distance.. since we have the pandemic. When I stepped out to collect my groceries he explained how the truck is kept at a certain temperature, the bags with green handles are for cold items and bags with brown handles are for everything else that doesn't spoil. The bags are also collected by them to be recycled, but unfortunately the program is on hold right now because of the virus.

Overall, my experience was positive. I was happy with how quickly I was able to schedule my delivery, and how friendly the driver was. My only disappointment was that although I could shop from a few stores, the selection was limited and I had to go back in and edit my order to add those items that I originally would have added the first time. I would use the service again, especially if they offered more promotions.

In the past few weeks I have tried a few online grocery shopping retailers. I realized very quickly that my expectations were possibly a little high, or maybe I was too picky. I found that prices were high(no sale items) shipping costs seemed high and delivery windows seemed to be weeks out and very limited.
When I received the voucher to give Voilia a try, I was interested to see what Sobeys offered.
I will say that that my excitement grew at each step! Signup was easy, and choosing items was a breeze. Choosing delivery was also very easy! I placed my order Friday afternoon and there was availability Saturday!! Lots of delivery times were available, a HUGE PLUS!! I was also pleasantly surprised to see that there were sale items! Sobeys offers its online shoppers the same sale items that offered in store!! Such a plus!! (I didn’t feel that I was over paying!! Another PLUS!) check out was also a breeze, once I confirmed my order I noticed that Voilia offers you the opportunity (time limited 3.5hrs?) to come back and add to your order (.. who doesn’t forget something or wish they could add another item??!? Another PLUS!)
On delivery day, I received a call from the driver informing me that he was 15mins away, he explained that once he arrived at my place he would then confirm my order and confirm the temperature of my frozen items (amazing!! Another PLUS!)
When my items arrived, they were delivered in a true temperature controlled truck, (not a regular vehicle!) the driver was pleasant and friendly! He placed my items on the porch, frozen items were separated from the regular groceries (another PLUS!) and he explained that he confirmed the temperature of my frozen items, which were also in bags that were a little different (green handles) so I can quickly identify and handle my frozen items (a PLUS!)
My items were awesome! My bread arrived fresh and not squished, my produce was all fresh and great quality! I had a great experience!!! Sobeys, you really stepped up and met all my expectations of what online grocery shopping and delivery should be.
I will re-order, and I would recommend to my besties, family and neighbours Forsure!!

Good option for grocery delivery - with lower delivery fee!

Thanks to the terrific ChickAdvisor Product Review Club I received a discount code to try out a new grocery delivery service: Voila by Sobeys!

This couldn't have come at a better time, and I'm happy to see Sobeys get into the grocery delivery game. It's super easy to register, browse a large selection of products on the website and add them to your cart. You get to take advantage of regular food prices comparable to what you would see in store, including sales.

The driver was in my neighbourhood a couple of hours earlier than my scheduled delivery time and asked if he could possibly deliver my groceries earlier. It worked out great, and he was very courteous. The cold and frozen products were as if they had just come out of the freezer.

Aspects that I think give this service an edge: the produce is really nice quality and has kept beautifully so far, the delivery fee is only $7.99 (vs $10+ or paying a surcharge on every item), and they tell you which items are out of stock at checkout so you can pick alternatives and don't end up with substitutions you don't want. My only disappointment was that I ended up with 4 x 2L of milk that all expire within the next 10 days, luck of the draw I guess.

Placing my online order was so simple. You start off by registering and then just start by reviewing their products. You simply click on the desired product and place the quantity you'd like to receive. If you have any
problems you simply contact them for assistance. I actually ran into a hiccup so I tried calling in and, to my surprise, learned that I didn't have to wait long for assistance. In a few seconds my issue was resolved and I was ready to return to complete my order. Once my order was placed I just had to pick my 1-hour delivery window and wait for my order to arrive. My driver Ian arrived promptly on time and was super polite. He brought my order right to my door and explained that my frozen order was at -17 degrees Celsius! In fact, if my order wasn't at a safe temperature he wouldn't have handed it to me. That's what you call safety! Everything is sourced from their new customer fulfilment centre and packed by robots to ensure that the order is packed safely and accurately, and with less handling. Wonderful to note: their produce comes with a 'it's fresh or it's free" guarantee! Personally, I didn't have to worry about it because my order was perfect ... quality product delivered on time and with a smile? THAT'S why they named their company "Voilà"! It's because "Voilà, here's your order!! LOL
What a much needed service! Not only because of the restrictions due to COVID19, but also for lessening the burdens in our lives, getting groceries delivered to my home means that I now get freed up time to do other things!
