My review as a tester for Sobeys grocery selection /Delivery

website appears to be fairly well organised but not sure why at check out does not tell you items that our out of stock, instead of making you go back into system , items not same on website as in flyer..
Delivery time early,but driver sent me a text but by time I saw it ! I already had my delivery! Delivery Contacless/Socially Distanced
Grocery items in good condition,Frozen FoodsCool, Fruits and Veg lovely and fresh.
Credit Card Only,No debit,or Cash.
Did not like the fact app does not make it easy to use coupons or price match.
Prices somewhat high.
Hard to judge sizes of products from website..
Convient If you do not drive, or just need delivery service .
Delivery $7.99 A good incentive if regular customer give free code again after 12 delivery or have different types of promotion to keep customer interested in service!!

Pleasantly Surprised! Great customer service

My order originally would not check out properly, so I had to call into Voila for help. She was able to help me check out and place my delivery time. super nice! When my groceries were on the way, I got a call telling me that they were 10 minutes away, and they asked if it was my first time using them. When he arrived, he even took a minute to explain that they separate out the cold items in a bag with the arms marked in green, and that they do a temperature check. I'm pretty sure my food got to me even m ore fresh than if I went to the grocery store myself. I do think that it can be worth the $7-8 delivery fee depending on where you live. However, I did find that my local grocery stores have cheaper products. Although, I did find everything to be in pristine shape, and I think it's really worth it if you simply have no time to go shopping yourself, or you are physically unable to. I ordered a lot of cans because I have a bad back, and it really saved me the trouble of going about it myself.

This was my first time using Voila by Sobeys and my experience was amazing! It was actually also my first time ordering groceries online. The process was so much more simple than I had thought; from ordering to delivery, everything went smoothly. I am so grateful for the opportunity from Product Review Club to be able to receive a special discount.

The main things we consider when grocery shopping are of course, the quality and value of the products. In-stores, you have to look and compare each product to see which one is the best value. But online with Voila, you can sort prices from low to high and easily browse. The selection was great and the prices are the same as what you would find in-stores.

They charge a $7.99 for delivery, it's not a bad value but it is on the expensive side. But considering the fact that you don't have to leave your house and get your groceries done, the time you save is definitely worth it!

Factoring in that at times like these with social distancing it is especially helpful. I was also very impressed by the customer service of the delivery staff. Super professional and friendly. The staff check the temperature of the produce to ensure food safety standards are met. They also helped bring the groceries right to my door step!

Another thing I loved was that you can pinpoint the hour you wanted your groceries to be delivered and they ensure on-time delivery.

With Voila by Sobeys, you are guaranteed to get amazing customer service, fresh high quality produce, convenience, and ease of use. I highly recommend it to anyone considering an online grocery delivery service.

Awesome new delivery choice!

I have been a long time fan and user of grocery delivery services, especially during the current pandemic. I was really happy to see that Sobey's was offering this service and was excited to receive a discount through Chickadvisor in exchange for my honest review. I found the website easy to use, and it provided a lot of choice of what to order. I like the fact that you can cancel or change your order within a reasonable time frame. There were lots of delivery times available and the delivery fee was a reasonable price (totally worth not having to drive to the store and back myself). The driver called me when he was on his way and dropped my groceries at my front door upon my request. He was polite and punctual and notified me that he had checked the temperature of my order as he unloaded it. The groceries were just what I ordered, with no substitutions and nothing missing. I will definitely use this service again!

Excellent service

I had such an amazing service with food delivery today! All the items I ordered came, no substituted or missing items. That was great because I ordered some items for a recipe I wanted to try today.
I loved that I got a phone call from the driver when they where 15 mins from my house. I didn't have to wait and wonder when within the window my food was going to arrive. However the best part I found was all the items that needed to be refrigerated or frozen came in bags with different coloured handles! I had unexpected plans come up so I didn't need to dig through the bags to find what I needed to put away before I could head out the door. I will be using them again. I received a discount as part of a Product Review Club offer.

Amazing service from an amazing company

As a former employee of a company under the same banner as Sobeys, I went into this with super high expectations and I was not disappointed. From start to finish, Voila by Sobeys was simple to use. When you log into the website, they have each category clearly labelled and if you can't find it, the search function works very well (which is a problem I've had on other delivery sites.) Another feature I really appreciate is all of the fees are upfront when you check out.

Delivery is super simple. Due to COVID-19, they currently don't enter apartment buildings, but they usually call 10-20 minutes before they arrive giving you plenty of time to meet them downstairs. It is a little bit harder to manage this with a toddler, but they have delivery windows every hpur between 6 am and 10 pm, so it's no big deal to schedule delivery for a time when my husband is home.

We did have a slight issue on our delivery with a sealed bottle of refrigerated salad dressing arriving mouldy, but after emailing their customer service with what happened and pictures, they got back to me in less than an hour issuing a refund for the item. This type of customer service lately is almost unheard of, so I'm very impressed.

I'm very happy with this service as I used to live in Nova Scotia where Sobeys is everywhere. Since moving, I live nowhere near one and have been missing a lot of Sobeyts exclusive products. $7.99 is a little bit more for a delivery fee than other services, but well worth it compared to the price of two adults taking the bus to the grocery store with a toddler in tow.

Great online grocery service

I would definitely use this grocery service again! It was easy to use. I was able to choose from many delivery times including next day delivery. There were a couple of items that weren’t available, but I was notified right away before I placed my order. My driver called me to let me know he was in the area earlier than my delivery time. When the driver brought my order he confirmed that he did a temperature check on my frozen products and he was wearing gloves and a mask. I was impressed!

Great new delivery service option

Chickadvisor gave me a voucher for a discount to try out this new grocery delivery service and it was a great incentive.

Ordering online was quite easy and there were lots of available delivery dates and times. I could order from Sobeys, Farm Boy, and well.ca in the same order. I was able to edit my order until the night before which was super helpful. The delivery fee was $7.99 which is less than other grocery or chain stores.

The downside was that quite a few fresh produce products I wanted were unavailable. The flip side is that the website was updated to show these products were not available so I could plan accordingly and didn't need to deal with receiving and returning unwanted substitutions. Sobeys had some good sales but their groceries are a different price point than other stores.

The driver was professional and friendly when he called me to let me know his ETA and about contactless delivery. He rung the bell after offloading all groceries and appeared professionally dressed also wearing his mask and gloves appropriately.

The company has their own truck too. It appeared to be a reefer truck but I'm just guessing.

All items ordered arrived safely and the order was fulfilled correctly. The produce was all fresh and the perishables all had decent expiration dates. The frozen items were still frozen.

One bonus was that they had duck eggs which my local Sobeys doesn't carry so I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't need to venture out to another grocery store to find them.

Easy to order groceries no need to leave the house

So as soon as I got into the ChickAdvisor campaign to sample the Voila by Sobeys online ordering tool that I had received a discount as part of a Product Review Club offer, I figured out a date that I need groceries by and I signed up with a new account and checked out how it works.Then I went in and I put in a date that I need groceries by and it asked the time and I did that. Then I went on to add products to the cart. Its pretty easy to navigate the site and the product has images and good description as far as how many come i.e. like 5 avocados or pounds 2lb bag of oranges.I put in all the items I needed and proceeded to checkout and that was pretty straight forwards, also got confirmation emails about the order and details like time and date when it will come. On the day of the order, the driver called me ahead of time about 10 minutes and told me that he will be there in 8-10 minutes, and that he was going to put all the bags at the front door and ring the doorbell and move 6ft as per the safety protocol and that he is wearing a mask. When I opened the door everything was good and he kept his distance, told me that they checked the products that they are all there and I did too and thats all I got my grocery without leaving the house. Their customer service is great as one of the product I got wasnt good so I wrote them on the chat and everything got cleared and I got a refund right away. Easy, fast and great service.

Sobey's can be expensive.

I checked this site out but found products to be pricey. If you are looking for grocery delivery instacart.ca is a good option. Non member delivery charge is about 9.99 but i pay yearly fee of $99 for free unlimited delivery. New store options added all the time. In my area I can currently order from Fortinos, Walmart, shoppers drug mart, bulk barn, costco, m&m;food market, staples and the den (pet products). I find this site to be a better deal.
