I have never used online/delivery for grocery shopping so I was excited to give this a try.

I found the web site to be very clean and user friendly. It was easy to find the items and add them to the shopping cart. I really liked that you can mark items as favourite which is handy for the items you purchase often.

The only issue I had was that they did not have about 7 items that I had on my shopping list, but I found out from one of the delivery people that the site only posts what they have in stock; I did take a look today and see they now have some of the items I was looking for. So this is actually a plus in that you know if you don't see it they don't have it, which is better then ordering it and then not getting it or getting a substitute.

Other positives:
- Received a friendly call when the delivery was about 10 minutes away.
- They temperature check the cold items before handing them over. They shut the truck door when doing this to keep out the heat.
- The cold bags are marked differently
- I really liked that the chicken was in it's own bag.
- When the delivery arrived the staff sanitized their hands then put on gloves and mask
- Super friendly and informative staff.
- The items come from the warehouse and is done by robots, not staff in a grocery store.
- Everything was very fresh with great best before dates

Cons:
- I found that for some categories they didn't have much selection (mostly for meat)
- The delivery fee is $7.99

Would I use this again? Yes, but only if I was able to get enough items on sale to make the delivery fee worth it.

Too many hassles in ordering

I live near a Sobeys store and I end up shopping from there at least once a week. I was excited to see an option to try out online delivery using a discount coupon. However, I was rather disappointed with the entire process. First, the options for items is very limited online versus offline. I couldn't find a lot of products I was looking for (note that I am able to find these at the store). Second, the delivery charges were quite high. Third, I was not able to use the code. I decided to not go ahead with the order.
While I shall continue to shop from Sobeys physically, I am not sure I'd try the online delivery again.

Groceries delivered to my door!

This was my first time using Voilà Grocery delivery by Sobey’s #VoilabySobeys however I’ve shopped in store before.
I found that they have an app as well as their website to shop from. Although I’ve gotten used to shopping online with a competitor I found their app and website very user friendly.
Unlike a competitor they will tell you right away if an item is not available for the time slot you’ve chosen. This gives you the chance to choose your own alternative rather than have something you don’t want substituted. And I also had a chance to edit my order prior to delivery as a couple of items did become available in the meantime. I was very pleased with the quality of my meat and produce. The prices weren’t inflated because it’s a delivery service and the delivery charge seems reasonable. The delivery people were polite and on time and brought my groceries right to my apartment door. Also pleased they were wearing masks properly. I got a discount on this first time service through #chickadvisor but $7.99 is an acceptable delivery charge considering I don’t have to leave my home. The only thing they didn’t do is put the groceries in the fridge! Very happy with this service. Will recommend and use again!

Voilà is the perfect name!

I’ve been hearing the radio ads for #VoilàBySobeys so I was delighted to learn I could test them out.
The website was awesome, my desired timeslot was available and easy to find. The items were sorted by aisles and searchable as well. The regular prices were a little high but the sales were great. I usually prefer to shop for groceries in person since I’m quite picky with my produce and meats, but everything I received was perfect.
I really appreciated the courtesy phone call before delivery, especially since my house can be hard to find. The delivery person was very friendly and showed me which bags needed to be refrigerated.
I have already recommended Voilà to my friends in the area and I’ll use them again!

express service

The website was easy to navigate. I like how you are still given the time to modify your order for changes. There are a lot of time slots available to book the delivery. They were on time and all the products are complete and well packed. The produce were all fresh - I was worried that it will be bruised. The frozen goods are all kept frozen, so great job Voila! Overall, the Voila service is great, I didn't mind the $7.99 delivery fee. However, Sobeys is a little more expensive than most grocery stores.

Their website is easy to navigate and they have a wide variery of choices to choose from. The check out was also smooth and fast.
Also, I was amazed of how fast their service is. I ordered my groceries to be delivered at 7am, and 7am they came. Love it!
The only downside of online grocery shopping, in general is that they don't honour coupons and sale items are not much, so you get to pay most of the items full priced. Either way, I had a great experience.

One of the better Delivery Services

I tried the Voila by Sobeys delivery service today. Before I begin this review, I would like to say since Covid started, I have bought all my groceries through online services, ranging from Amazon to shopper services like Instacart, and respective grocery stores deliveries as well. Voila is the 7th major delivery service I tried in the past 4 months.

It was a decent service comparably, the app was easy to navigate, items separated by aisles and easily searchable. Discount items were likewise easily browsable and would appear at the top if available. The idea that it lists how much you saved from buying their sale items at the end of the receipt gives you a good feeling too.

One thing I noticed though is that it does not have a substitution option. At moment of check out (or choosing time slot), it told me directly if something was out of stock (despite listed available while browsing), and asked me to change my basket instead. I liked this, since buying with substitution options sometimes give me the sense of not knowing what I'm getting until it is delivered, and not always what I wanted either.

The delivery price was one of the cheapest I've come across as well, a flat rate amount, cheaper than Walmart, no extra fees and charges. The delivery person contact you by phone before they arrive, and is easily contactable if anything goes wrong during the delivery, which is good too since my house was not the easiest to find.

Of all those good things, there is major downside: that being Voila prices are on the pricier end of grocery shopping. Sale items were fine, but anything ay normal price would likely cost more than the same item at places like Walmart or No Frills. But perhaps due to this, I find they have more stock available, and things which get substituted or refunded from those stores are still available here.

Amazing Service!

I received from chickadvisor $25 towards my voila order. This was my first time using voila and I loved it. Since covid i have turned to getting my groceries delivered. This is the best service I have used so far. Whatever I ordered cam as expected, nothing out of stock. It came right when scheduled, and I even got a call 10 min before they delivered. All the groceries were nice and fresh. They have different bags for the items that need to go in the fridge which made it really easy to put away. I would give this service a 10/10. Would definitely recommend it and I will be using it again!

Great Grocery Delivery Experience

Loved using the new grocery delivery! After receiving an incentive to try it out, I gave it a shot. Produce was all super fresh, lots of items on sale and everything bagged neatly in recyclable bags that Sobeys will pick up at my next delivery! The delivery person called to let me know she was on the way, and then called again to let me know my bags were at my front door (no contact necessary), and reminded me I had stuff for the freezer 🤣 The only disappointing aspect is the website information. Our family is affected by food allergies, and reading labels is very important. Not all items have an Ingredient list, and the images shown are not of the ingredients list on the actual package. There were some items I purchased because the ingredients appeared safe, however once delivered, the package clearly showed that some items were unsafe for our family. A massive improvement would be to include an actual image of the package labelling.
Overall, great experience, and I will definitely be trying it again!

Groceries delivered to your door! Definitely worth it!

This week was my first time trying a grocery delivery service! It was everything that I thought it would be! My groceries were kept fresh, and cold - even in the humid weather! The small charge for delivery is really worth it!!!!! Thank you Chick Advisor for the voucher - brilliant!!
