THE VERY BEST

I am so impressed by this service! I've tried other services, this is superior to all of them.
The website is easy to maneuver, and ordering is a breeze.
I love that the order is confirmed in minutes, with a copy of the receipt. The next day I received a full conformation, I liked that all the prices were shown and those items that were on special showed the regular price crossed through and the sales price next to it
There is a 6-hour window after the order is made whereby I could make changes and additions.
The delivery was exactly when it was booked for, and a pre-call by the driver to say he is close is appreciated.
When he delivered, he confirmed that the order was complete with no shortages.
The prices are good and the selection and quality were excellent. I have already recommended this service to friends.

Great Service!

I received my first delivery today. The website was super easy to use and offered a lot of delivery options. I received an email about one substitution the day of delivery. The delivery person contacted me 10 minutes before they arrived, which was very nice. When she dropped off the delivery, she mentioned the substitution again and asked if it was an okay change. The delivery was a great experience and the delivery fee was very reasonable.

Excellent & Convenient Service

I received a discount from ChickAdvisor to try Voila by Sobeys as part of a Product Review Club offer. This was my first time using a grocery delivery service, mainly because other services do not delivery to my area. (That gives this service 5-stars already!).

I was very impressed with the service levels of my experience. I was able to order my groceries and have them delivered the following day. I received a call about 10-minutes prior to my groceries arriving, and was asked whether I would like to be called or have the doorbell rung once my groceries had been delivered. Upon answering the door, I was met by the driver (who was extremely pleasant!) and explained to me a bit about their delivery practices since this was my first time using their service. All products are checked to ensure that they are at the right temperature before they are left at your door, and anything that is cold (requiring refrigeration or freezing) are placed in bags with solid coloured handles so that you can distinguish them easily in order to deal with them first. I was also told that all of the items that I had ordered were in the delivery and that nothing that been substituted.

My only disappointment was that I could not use my AirMiles card during the online shopping experience, otherwise this service exceeded by expectations. I definitely recommend giving it a try and will certainly consider using it again in future.

Convenient grocery shopping

I got chosen by @ChickAdvisor to try out Sobeys NEW Voila online grocery shopping service with a $25 discount for my honest opinion. To be honest I don't usually shop at Sobeys as I find their prices a bit high sometimes but I figured with a toddler at home, not having enough time and with COVID19 I would give it a try. So I went on the website and started ordering my items. Like I said before a lot of the prices are higher compared to other grocery stores I shop at.

Another thing I was disappointed in was that a lot of items that were in the flyer I couldn't find on the website like for instance in the flyer they had 24 bottles of Nestle water for $1.79 and I couldn't find it. A lot of items I wanted were unavailbe/out of stock (bananas, organic baby spinach etc.)

I also thought the delivery price of $7.99 was a bit steep when your already getting $100+ worth of groceries I think the delivery should be complimentary or $4.99 max.

I was happy with the fact that the delivery was very quick the next morning after I ordered. They call you about 15 minutes before they arrive at your house. The delivery man was very nice and very informative since it was my first time ordering through them.

I did also find they waste a lot of plastic bags where I got a bag of cucumbers in one bag where they could have put it in the same bag as my peaches and grapes. Or a bag of frozen onion rings in one bag, that could have also gone into another bag let's say with eggs or wedges, cheese etc. The driver informed me that since this is my first time they don't charge for bags but in the future they will also they have a recycling program where if I dont want the bags they will take them back.

I was a bit disappointed also that my spinach that I purchased had an expiry date 2 days later after I received it therefore I had to use it up quick so it didn't go bad.

Overall there were some pros and cons. It was a nice experience but in the future I think I would only use this service if my husband or I really couldn't make it to the grocery store.

Surprised how easy & efficient

This is the first time I ordered from Sobeys for home delivery, using Voila. The site is very easy to get through. I love that they have the sale items are listed first. The service was exactly between the times I asked for, and the driver phoned ahead of time and was very polite. It was a contactless delivery and he made sure the frozen and cold foods were at the very front, by the door. I will definitely use the service again. The delivery price was certainly worth it. Also, everything I ordered was in stock. I’m a very happy shopper.

The product is picked from the warehouse not the store so very safe and fresh and delicious. I was happy with the quality and delivery of the products.

best grocery delivery service so far!

I have used other grocery deliver services in the past, but the Voila by Sobeys services is the best one yet. All of my groceries were promptly delivered in the timeslot chosen. I also received a call to say that they were on the way.

The attention to detail was amazing! All of my groceries were packed based on temperature - frozen foods in one bag. The eggs were checked to ensure nothing was broken along the way. Fruits and vegetables were picked just right (e.g., bananas were not too ripe but not too green either).

I only wish that the Voila by Sobeys accepted air miles as they do in their stores.

Easy way to buy groceries online

I've been online shopping for several years now. However, this past week I tried online grocery shopping for the first time! I was a bit hesitant since I didn't really know what to expect. After hearing about #VoilabySobeys I was excited to give this a try. 

My husband and I usually go grocery shopping on Thursday evenings, however, this past week I had been booked for a podcast interview. Instead of rescheduling our grocery shopping date, we found this to be a perfect opportunity to order our groceries online and have it delivered to our front door. 

On Wed evening, I created an account with Voila which took a few simple steps. Then I booked a delivery date for Friday from 12noon to 1pm. We had our grocery list written down, so I entered each item in the search tool on the website and chose the item that I wanted. I usually filtered by the best value. It took me about an hour (took me a bit longer as a first-timer to navigate the website and I was browsing through a bunch of sale items!). We reviewed all the items in our cart which was about $100 plus tax. The cost for delivery is $7.99. This seems like an acceptable fee since the robots need to pick up all our items and a delivery man drops it off at our house. I also received a $25 discount as part of a Product Review Club offer. We submitted our order and I received the email confirmation order right away in my inbox. 

On Friday right before 12noon, I received a phone call from the delivery man. He arrived right at my front door. He greeted me, wore a mask and gloves and informed me that everything was temperature-checked. The items that needed to be refrigerated right away were in a colour-coded bag with green handles. Overall, it was nice to not have to drive to the grocery store and we saved money on gas. I would recommend this to a friend if they don't feel comfortable leaving their house because of COVID-19 or other health issues. I would use this service again if my schedule gets busy and I don't have the time to physically go to the grocery store. 

Quick and Convenient

I was given the opportunity to use Sobeys Voila online grocery delivery service at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.

To start, ordering was very easy and straightforward. I searched the website for everything I needed, added it to cart, and checked out. The transaction was processed and the groceries were delivered really quick. Everything was fresh and there were no issues with any items I orders. The handoff of groceries was done safely and socially distanced. I would definitely order again through this service.

A lactose-free shopping dream!

I received a discount to try out Voila as part of the Chickadvisor Product Review Club.

Throughout the last few months, grocery shopping has been a struggle for me, as I am lactose intolerant, and many of the grocery stores in my area have not been able to maintain consistent product availability due to the pandemic. I also do not have a car and rely on buying things on foot, and whil I've tried grocery delivery programs in the past, I either didn't like the options or found it too expensive. When I was invited to try Voila by Sobey I knew I had to give it a try, as there are no Sobeys near by but I know they usually have the brands I trust.

We created our order 3-4 days before our delivery (we changed the day by one day) and found it fairly seamless to book a time. I was able to easily find dairy-free products and treats for myself, which really made my day, and other household items that I'd been meaning to buy but put off due to weight or volume (giant bags of potatoes, big container of detergent, etc.) The Voila site carried different brands like the Farm Boy brand for their more farm-to-table options, as well as the Chalo! FreshCo section which had a lot of international foods too.

The one thing I noticed however, was the fruit section was extremely picked over, this could be due to the day we selected which was right after the August long weekend, but the fruit section was limited to apples and oranges, lemons and limes mainly and no berries or other seasonal produce, it was there but not available at the moment. I'm not sure how common this is, but I'll definitely keep my eye out next time.

The delivery was smooth, my driver called me 20 minutes out and then 5 minutes out. Because my order had some heavy items he came up and brought it to my door which was really thoughtful, and he told me which bags had the frozen items which should be put away right away. Overall I was SUPER impressed with the handling of the delivery which is always stressful to know how accurate or timely the delivery will happen, and I was greatly impressed to have them deliver within the hour chosen! I will definitely try them again.
