Fast and efficient

I received a discount to try Voila grocery delivery. The process was easy and I was able to select a delivery slot that was very quick, lots of other services have a wait time. My delivery was temperature controlled, came on time with good communication. My only complaint was that none of the produce I wanted to order was available and the one that stayed in my cart was not reflected in the order summary I got by email. It would have been nice to get some replacement suggestions or notification this was removed

Ok - But website issues and higher base price

This was an ok delivery service. Having used delivery services for a few years now, I am quite efficient in grabbing what I need, put the order in and go. This website was so finicky, scrolling often made it glitch, and without knowing exactly what I needed I got the glitch a lot. Not fun. I also noticed that the prices of items, even when on sale were above the "normal" prices to other stores. Your budget wouldn't go far if you did a full shop here, so maybe just keep it for emergency items? Overall was ok, but not going to switch to this delivery service anytime soon.

Thoughtful and quick service

I was able to navigate the site easily and find the groceries I needed. I think some of the prices were a bit higher than what I would find in store for certain items but overall the delivery was quick, right on the dot and I was assured I would get help as soon as possible for any issues with product or date I may have.

Okay

I regularly use Walmart pickup or even instacart (which I also drive for) so I'm familiar with this concept. I went into this thinking the items would be more expensive because obviously safeway vs walmart... so, yes, most items were more expensive. They did have some sales that were then cheaper. I also find their produce much better.

There were a few things for me that decreased my rating.

First, the cost for delivery is huge in my opinion. A minimum of $10 a month and that limits you to only weekday deliveries. The larger issue is that pickup is not available at most stores yet. So you HAVE to get it delivered unless you're driving to the other side of the city.

Second, you HAVE to be home and answer the door or they will not leave your groceries. I get why, but there should be an option to leave at door, and the customer is responsible then if the groceries sit too long or are stolen.

Third, they charge you 5 cents per bag but don't give any options to not get bags?

Last, the upselling while ordering is insane. You have to scroll down through ~50 items in order to get to the checkout screen. It's a little ridiculous.

So I'd say this is an "upscale" grocery service. If you can afford it and don't mind waiting around for your groceries, then you'll definitely get better produce and items. But if you want to save money or like more convenience, I wouldn't recommend Voila.

It needs a few updates

I really has high hopes for this grocery delivery service but I was let down
Pros:
- It was easy to register
- My delivery was accurate and arrived on time
- The paper bags were nice and only .15

Cons:
- There were no pickup locations near me so I had to choose delivery
- I was not able to order sliced deli meat from the deli counter (prepackaged only)
- I was charged more than the flyer advertised price on an item so I had to email customer service.
- I was never asked to add my Scene + card so I don't get any points. I found out AFTER that you have to go in and add the card to your profile.
- $7.99 for a delivery fee is too high.
- I was not able to customize my produce request (yellow bananas, soft avocados etc)

Food was all fresh!

I was offered the opportunity to try out the new grocery delivery Voila.
Pros:
The groceries came in paper bags delivered right to our front door.
We had to be home for the delivery.
We got a call about 5min prior to delivery to make sure we were available.
The food was all fresh and even the bananas we ordered were perfect, lettuce was also crispy and fresh, bread was soft
and the rest of the items were also good.
I was impressed at how well everything was packed and picked like I would have had I gone to the store.
Delivery is normally $7.99 per delivery, but since we are in a trial for one month it was free.
You have a little bit of time to add to your order any items you missed after placing order.
Checkout process is fairly simple.

Cons:
There is a monthly delivery charge of $14.99
The site was a bit glitchy where at times the screen started jumping and was impossible to scroll past and had to wait for
the jumping to stop.
The coupon used did not give us the free month of delivery as expected, but instead had to sign up to the monthly service which gave us a free month to get it (first month is free the $14.99 after)
that was displayed on the front page of the site.

I have to say the delivery person was great and since it was our first time he gave us a little description right at our door about how we can look over our order groceries to make sure we are satisfied with how fresh everything was and that if we were not happy for whatever reason they would take the item(s) back and bring back a fresh of whatever right away. Very pleasent and on time delivery.

Would I use the site and the grocery delivery again? ABSOLUTELY!

Items cost more

I would not use this service again as most items were more costly for this service. I would not recommend this service as groceries are already at an all time high and it seems as though though the prices are elevated to cover picking costs??

Taking Advantage Parasites

I went onto our local Safeway website and looked up prices of items, particularly those on sale. I then went onto the Voila site (whom I think is also owned by Sobeys) and the price differences were astounding. Purex, as an example, was $6.44 on Safeway and Voila was $11.99! This is absolutely disgusting. Don't support them. Don't let them get away with ripping us all off. It's their own company and they use it to parasitically feed off of us.

does not worth it

Customer service takes 3-4 days to reply, while most other companies respond in a few hours. I'm still waiting for a response to a simple question. Also, it seems products labeled as cheap or on sale are often out of stock after I order them, leading to refunds.

Excellent service and great quality

Just tried my first order for delivery this morning. Arrived within the designated time slot. Driver called 5 minutes ahead to let me know he was arriving soon. My buzzer is currently not working, so we arranged to meet at the lobby entrance. I had a cart to put the groceries in, and the driver was exceptionally gentle when placing the bags in and made sure he didn't put any items which could be crushed at the bottom. The frozen items arrived still frozen and the refrigerated items and veggies were all cold as their vans have refrigerated storage. I got everything in my order correctly, no missing items or substitutions. The quality of all the items was perfect, exactly what I would have picked at the store. Service was prompt, friendly and professional. Zero complaints. The only down side is the price/fees. They are obviously more expensive, just as when you shop in store. But the quality of the items and the service was fantastic. I prefer shopping in store, but had to order online since my car broke down and is currently in the shop. If I have to use delivery again, would 100% use Voila.
