Buttery and rich shortbread cookie

I am a big fan of shortbread cookies. You see them most often around the holiday season but I have seen Walker shortbread cookies being sold at Loblaws throughout the year. They are more pricey during the off season (not around holidays). I love that the cookies are rich, crumbly and have a nice bitter flavor. Walker is a company that is known for their shortbread cookies. They have a recipe that works! I love the sugar sprinkles on the cookie because it adds a nice sweetness and also a great texture.

These were on sale after the Christmas holiday and I snagged a couple boxes. They were the Christmas edition with a bell, Christmas tree, star, and Santa. Shortbread is one of my favorite type of cookies and these were delicious !

These are a yummy but simple cookie - mostly sugary butter flavour. They always make for a good treat around the holidays. The packaging usually comes in lots of different sizes.
