Cake Beauty Satin Sugar Rush Brush Dry Shampoo Powder is a do-it-everywhere volumizing dry shampoo that comes packaged in a handy on-the-go brush applicator for easy application and it’s also refillable. It’s natural bristles instantly allows you to stimulate the roots for serious volume and texture, while absorbing excess oil that can leave hair looking flat and greasy. It’s talc-free and contains chamomile, calendula and corn starch that all help to absorb oil while soothing the scalp. It comes in a few different shades, even an extremely dark shade for us girls with black hair. I can’t tell you how many dry shampoos I’ve bought that claim to be for dark hair, only to have them leave a white film on my roots. Not only does this amazing powder soak up excess oil, it also helps to calm and condition the hair and scalp in between washes. My hair was left feeling refreshed and renewed, even after endless amounts of dips into the ocean and chlorine filled pools

Smells heavenly and soaks up any greasy residue on your scalp and hair with ease. Love that it's a powdered hair freshener (or dry shampoo if you will) rather than an aerosol that is alcohol based which will end up damaging your hair. For darker shades you can get the powder that is tinted like a shade of cinnamon. My one small complaint with that would be that you may see the powder colour on your scalp if you apply too much product. I just put some on my hands and fingers and run through my hair rather than shaking it on (like parmesan cheese!) Love this product.

I've tried a few dry shampoos, and I don't like them. tresemme just didn't cut it, neither did got2be or batiste. They all dried out my hair like straw I'm assuming because of the alcohol content. I found batiste barely even abosorbed oil! Just made my hair smell good.
Enter this delightful powder from cake! I'm in love with this. There is no alcohol or spraying so it doesn't dry my hair out at all. It actually saves me time if I'm in a rush - All I do is rub the powder into sections of my scalp and it totally absorbs the oils, makes my hair feel clean again and smells really great. I don't even care that it is expensive, it works for me so I will buy it again :) If you have tried the spray dry shampoos and didn't like them this is for you.

This stuff is awesome!
The thing I love the most is that it makes my hair smell like cupcakes. Who wouldn't love that?!
It's pretty easy to use, just shake in the way you would any other powder shampoo. I typically sprinkle a bit down my centre part and then apply similarly to spearated sections of my hair at the roots. After sprinkling, I run my hands through my hair to help distribute it, and then flip my head upside down and give a quick blow-dry to get rid of any spots where there might be a bit too much powder. I find that the powder can end up hanging out around the edges of where my hairline stops, so sometimes I take a damp washcloth and blot these areas. You might end up with the powder underneath your nails if you're like me and play with your hair during the day, but it's asy enough the just rinse off and isn't going to do any harm. I use the one made for lighter-hues, and recently picked up the darker hues for a friend of mine. Also, every so often they will release a package deal where you get a little travel/purse sized version with the full size, for the same price as just the full size. I've found these package deals at both Murale ane Sephora. If you do put it in a suitcase or purse though, I recommend sticking it in a ziploc bag, as little bits of powder can sneak out easily, even when you've closed the lid.
Overall, a fantastic product that I continue to use up the whole shaker and purchase again. Great for days you just don't have time to wash your hair and want to soak up that excess oil.
Also, a good quick fix on those hot days to give your skin some moisture absorbtion and a tasty scent.

I use this product on my hair. I normally used baby powder for quick fixes of greasy hair and this dry shampoo is outstanding. The scent is mouth watering (like all Cake products) and the can is easy to throw in my purse or gym bag w/o fear of spillage. It's worth a try and can get you some Sephora points too :)

I decided to try this after reading the reviews here on ChickAdvisor.
I was looking for something to use between washes. I generally wash my hair every day, but I'm trying to push it to every other day to keep from over-washing my hair.

This product works really fast to absorb any oil in your hair or on your body, and leaves your hair and skin with a fresh cinnamonny scent. I have black hair, so after using the powder, it give my hair a more matte look, which sometimes makes me worry if it's too obvious. But I'd rather be matte than greasy!

The canister isn't too large, so I take it with me whenever I know I'll be out and active for a while. Makes your hair look like you just washed it!

I just got this the other day... and have to say it works pretty good. I usually end up washing my hair everyday, because my hairline/bangs get a bit oily. I got this to see if I could stretch my shampoo/ style a bit further. The powder works pretty good, and defiantly takes away oiliness and leaves a clean fresh look.

They claim that the power for dark hair can be used on the lightest of skin, but I found that it did leave some colour on my arms when I tired it (I am pretty pale) and it left a slight colour around my hair line (nothing that I couldn't rub in thought)

All in all a great product.

This is by far the best dry shampoo I have ever used before. I tested this out in the store on myself and my sister when we both happen to have a slightly greasy hair day. After rubbing it through both of our hair.... we both looked like we had just washed and styled it.

Not only does it smell amazing, I really like that it's not an aerosol-type dry shampoo (which sometimes can leave a white residue behind). You just sprinkle a small amount into the palm of your hand and rub it into your hair. It works so well, I'm quite impressed.

It comes in two colours: one for dark hair and one for light. I have the dark hair one.

It can also be used on the skin, but I have yet to try it for that. This is definitely one of my favourite products this year.

After we've used product for several months, my sister and I both agree that the smell can be a little on the strong side. If you are not a fan of the smell of cinnamon/vanilla and prefer a "fresher" smell... this may not be the product for you!
