Happened upon an Origins counter inside The Bay recently, and was pleasantly surprised by the staff and their helpfullness. We got a few little samples, and tried several products. This Modern Friction was one of our faves, so we decided to splurge the $45 because, yes, they do have a great return policy just in case. Tried it for a few weeks, twice a week, and definitely saw a difference with brightness of overall skin tonality. And since it is made from rice grains, not pieces of seeds, it doesn't scratch or tear the skin. I would buy it regularly if they ever had sales....

I used to think all scrubs were the same (I mean, they all do the same thing, right? Exfoliate). However, what sets this apart from the cheaper drugstore brands is that it's SUPER gentle on your face and it doesn't have the strong chemical smell that some brands might have. I got a small tube as a sample, but even that small tube lasted a long time. I loved it so much I went back to buy the tub. You really only need a small amount to do the job, and after using this (even if I don't use it 2-3 times weekly as recommended) my face feels so much smoother! No skin irritations, no dryness (though my skin's not exactly the sensitive type).

Overall, it's a good product that's not too pricey. If it doesn't work out for you, Origins has a really good return policy.

Since moving from the humidity that is the south my skin has become dull in appearance and that's just not good. So while searching the local stores for something that will give my face it's vibrancy back I stumbled upon Origins in the Rookwood Commoms. The atmosphere in the store is very calm and the people there are just great.

When I described my problem the sales rep she immediately told me that the solution to my problem would be to try Modern Friction. It's a soft scrub that you apply two to three times a week, although I use it monthly and it leaves your face soft and bright. What I like most about this product is that it's gentle on my face. I've tried other scrubs in the past, but this by far is my favorite. It doesn't leave me feeling as if I just scrubbed my face with a brilo pad. A major plus is that it smells yummy!
