Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

The writing is very basic and the plot is terrible. No character development and the lead female is a terrible role model for women of all ages.

Reading Twilight is like eating a tub of ice cream. You shouldn't really do it. It'll make you sick but it tastes so good.

This book was appealing because it had a relatable character (Bella) and it was an easy read however it lacked substance. The writing was style was overly simplistic. It was simple story telling. Not a great literary work, more of a guilty pleasure. It is not worth reading a second time.

I read the entire series. Sure it's an okay story, but the only reason so many people are interested in it is because the main character is essentially an empty shell. Anyone can be Bella, we can all put ourselves in her place. She lacks character development which is something I find extremely important in any novel and she is a horrible example for teen girls. No one should base their entire life around a guy, especially as a teenager, it's sending young girls the wrong message about dating and relationships. Also, if you actually do some research, the relationship between Bella and Edward is an abusive relationship, not in the physical sense but in the emotional and mental sense.

I read it and it's a great book to have. Love it! :)

I'm not going to outright say this book is terrible because I did read it, the quality of the writing isn't very good. not too descriptive, and somewhat childish. But I suppose it is directed towards preteens. I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone unless they were looking for an easy one or two sitting read to kill time or had difficulties reading. I wasn't excited enough about the characters to continue reading the series and as soon as I put it down it was gone from my mind. I know I've read a good book when the stories and characters stick with me for a while after reading, or if I just can't put it down. For me, this did neither.

Terribly written. Short simple sentences. I know two year olds that have greater vocabulary than is demonstrated in this book! The ridiculousness of the "love story" in this book actually made me angry! I read it while stranded in a small airport for 26 hours with nothing else to do and I still mourn the loss of the time it took me to read it!
