Description

Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 30 mins
Servings: 4 to 6

Ingredients:
24 McCain® Savoury Wedges
12 slices bacon, halved
¾ cup (175 mL) barbecue sauce
2 green onions, finely chopped

Preheat oven to 425˚F (220˚C). Line baking sheet with foil; place lightly greased rack onto baking sheet. Wrap McCain® Savoury Wedges with bacon slices. Arrange in single layer on rack.

Bake for 15 minutes or until bacon is lightly golden. Using ¼ cup (60 mL) of the barbecue sauce, brush potato wedges lightly; return to oven. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until bacon is crispy and barbecue sauce caramelizes. Garnish with green onions; serve with remaining barbecue sauce for dipping.

Tip: This appetizer is just as delicious made with McCain® Spicy Wedges.

BACON! Need I say more? Probably not, but I will anyways ;) These can be a bit tedious to make, especially for a crowd, but it is so worth it in the end. You could probably use any flavour you prefer, but I think that the BBQ and bacon go so well together so why mess with a good thing? If you are really looking to impress try serving these with a homemade BBQ sauce! Pro tip, try adding a bit of Montreal steak spice into the BBQ sauce, definitely kicks it up a notch!

I made this recipe with a few alterations, I par cooked the bacon and didn't have any BBQ sauce so I mixed a little bit of EVOO and some Garlic Plus seasoning mix , I basted the wedges before wrapping them in the bacon. I basted them after 15 min on the oven and cooked again for another 15 min they were delicious . I will make another batch next week after I get some BBQ Sauce. I'm sure my family will love them as much.
