Great High Protein Snack

Great Bison Snack on the go! High in protein and delicious. I will be bringing these for all my camping or hiking adventures! Would recommend these for sure!

Great Taste, Just a Bit Too Salty

I am usually not a fan of meat jerky because they're usually too hard to bite into for my sensitive teeth, but these Bison Snack Sticks are super easy on my teeth! They're soft, the bison flavor is rich and delicious, and I liked that they have a bit of fattiness, which makes them more satisfying than other meat snacks. The bite-sized pieces are also super convenient for snacking on the go or throwing into a lunch bag.

I also appreciate that they're high in protein, made with all-natural ingredients, and proudly Canadian! The quality really comes through. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that I found them too salty for my taste. If the sodium were reduced, they'd be nearly perfect.

Tasty treat

A pepperoni stick, but made out of bison! I snacked on these on a day where I was on the go all day, and appreciated how good they tasted. Exactly like a pepperoni stick, but for some reason I felt better eating it just because it’s bison. I also love that this product is Canadian. Would recommend for bison lovers and people who like shopping local.

Are BUFF Buckaroos Worth the Hype?

Let’s be real, finding a quick snack that actually tastes good, keeps you full, and isn't packed with weird chemicals is a massive headache. Most meat sticks out there are greasy, super salty, or full of mystery fillers. That’s why I wanted to dive into BUFF Buckaroos.
They’re bite-sized, Canadian-made bison and beef snacks that claim to be a cleaner, healthier alternative to the stuff you find at gas stations. Instead of being packed with artificial preservatives, they are naturally fermented and cold-smoked.
Plus, they check pretty much every dietary box:
Gluten-free? Yes.
Soy and dairy-free? Yes.
No added nitrates? Yes (they use celery extract instead).
Keto and paleo friendly? Absolutely.
Sometimes wild game meats like bison can taste a bit too earthy or get super tough to chew. Thankfully, these completely skip that.
Because of the fermentation process, they are surprisingly tender and juicy, but not greasy at all.
The flavor is a really nice, mellow wood-smoke. It’s savory but mild, meaning it doesn't leave that heavy, artificial aftertaste.
The bite-sized pieces are awesome for throwing into a gym bag, a work backpack, or a school lunchbox. It’s zero-mess snacking.
The only real catch here is the price. Bison is a premium meat, and making snacks the right way (without cheap shortcuts) costs money. These are definitely going to cost more than a standard pack of beef jerky from the grocery store aisle.
But if you care about what you put in your body, want clean fuel for hikes or workouts, or need a healthy snack your kids will actually eat, BUFF Buckaroos are a total win.

Smoky little sausages

I've never tried bison meat so didn't know what to expect. I found these bite sized snacks were smoky, got a good chew as texture.

Buckaroos Review !

I was recently gifted Buff Buckaroos' bite-sized bison snack sticks and I was excited to try them. I really appreciated that they're made locally in Canada using high quality, natural ingredients. As someone who regularly enjoys jerky sticks, I was looking forward to seeing how these compared to other brands.

I did find them to be a little saltier and slightly fattier than what I’m used to, however, they still tasted really good overall. I especially liked the convenient bite-sized piece that made for an easy and satisfying snack.

Overall, I'd recommend these to anyone looking for a high quality, locally made protein snack, especially if you enjoy a slightly richer jerky stick.

Great handy snack
