Organic from California but 25% don't pop

It's important to me to serve my kids organic, non-GMO popcorn, since there is so much GMO'd corn buried in so many of the foods we eat. I was delighted to discover Central Roast popcorn kernels are organic from California, but dismayed when two separate bags of popcorn produced only about 70-80% yield. That's alot of wasted kernels! I will continue to buy this product, but only because it's the ONLY organic, non-GMO popcorn kernel offered at my go-to supermarket. If I see a comparable product elsewhere, I'm going to try it.
