Too sweet for cream cheese

I love that Daiya offers some great dairy-free & allergen free products. We love their pizza and cheese shreds but find that the cream cheese is too sweet. We would much prefer a tart taste for cream cheese. This has the sweetness of a dessert product, but doesn't fit the onion and chive flavour.

I accepted buying this item years ago. Each and every time that I did purchase the Daiya cream cheese, I was reminded why I usually didn't.

BUT, Daiya Herb and Chive Cream Cheese has been improved (it says so on the packaging and they aren't kidding!!).

I reluctantly (very reluctantly) decided to try the improved cream cheese and was absolutely impressed!! I went back to the store and got two more.

The cream cheese spreads and melts as expected. It used to behave like a glue and tested awful. The taste is on point.

I've given this the Daiya cream cheese to nom-vegans and they too loved it.

Win win win!! Thank goodness for Daiya.

My wife and I have cut out dairy/gluten/soy and this meets all the criteria. It's a great snack to put on crackers, gluten free bagels, etc. Even my father-in-law likes it! For a great tasting healthy spread, I recommend this.

A vegan alternative to cream cheese. Also recommend the Plain flavor. This cream cheese is a heavenly, guilt-free topping to bagels and toasts. The plain flavor is very sweet, so it's a great topping to desserts!

The most convincing of Daiya's Cream Cheeses! Love what this brand stands for and their incredible take on many products but unfortunately cream cheese is not one of them. With that being said though, the chive and onion flavour is definitely their best option. When topped with cucumbers, tomatoes, or other fresh vegetables, the tapioca flavouring is much less detectable. If after my pregnancy, I am again allergic to dairy, I will most likely purchase this product again. Spreads just like real cream cheese and has a fairly decent shelf life as well.

If you're switching to nondairy go with this brand. I absolutely love this cream cheese it taste like real cream cheese you won't be able to tell the difference so much flavour worth the buy !

So I've recently had to eliminate dairy from my diet because my son has a problem with it and I'm breast feeding I absolutely love dairy and have been missing cheese I tried this prout out and just love it ! It's great on bagels and I've used some in a pasta sauce I made with almond milk as well my 4 year old son even ate up all the pasta
