Good price, but still left my scalp feeling dry

I have tried almost every product out there for a dry itchy scalp and decided to try the dove line. I was disappointed that after a few washes my hair was dry and my scalp even dryer.

Not very effective

As much as I love adobe products, this one didn’t quite meet the standards. Left a dry itchy feel on my scalp. Not effective like others I’ve used. Decently priced but not up to par.

Oily hair day after use

I received DOVE DERMA+CARE SCALP DRYNESS & ITCH RELIEF ANTI-DANDRUFF SHAMPOO for free in exchange for my honest review. At first I thought that the shampoo wasn't bad, I didn't need a whole bunch to wash my long hair, it rinsed clean, smelled good, and I didn't see any dandruff or have an itchy scalp at all. For the first week I washed my hair daily, like I usually do, but it wasn't until the weekend that I noticed the oily hair. I don't usually get oily hair, even after skipping a day. But in the morning, even right as I woke up, my hair closest to my scalp looked greasy. Obviously this is not a good look so I tried to figure out if out was the shampoo or conditioner. When I switched shampoos I didn't have next day grease. Needless to say I will not be purchasing this shampoo. I guess if it's a trade off between dandruff and having to wash every day I'd use it, but I don't have a have a huge dandruff problem. Plus I hate that it has sulfates, I'd prefer sulfate free shampoo. Sorry Dove, I'll pass.

Had high Hopes :(

I had such high hopes for this shampoo and conditioner that I received free through the Product Review Club. I really liked the smell of both the shampoo and conditioner. My hair combed out really well afterwards, no tangles....After all was said and done I felt as though my scalp was really itchy, and flaky, more so then before I used the product.

Wanted to love it

I was sent this shampoo as part of the chick advisor review club, and was really excited to try it as my scalp is pretty dry and flakey during these winter months. I didn't receive it until late, so wanted to give it a few washes to really test it before posting my review.. I so badly wanted to love it, and even went so far as to compare all ingredients between my regular go-to (Head & Shoulders) and the Dove... pretty identical in terms of ingredients, same amount of active ingredient as well - so i thought it must work! I swapped out my regular shampoo for this, and tried it on 2 separate occasions... It seems to have made my dandruff worse!!
The smell, lather, consistency - all great, but overall effectiveness in combatting dandruff just wasn't there.
