Thanks to the product review club for allowing to me test out these products. Originally prior to dyng my hair, my hair was somewhat shiny and smooth. I was afraid that the hair dye would ruin my hair however that wasn't the case. I believe the reason for this is in part due to this shampoo and conditioner. It kept my hair in it's original state. It smelled nice and kept my hair shiny, silky and smooth. The only problem I encountered was that even though both the shampoo and conditioner smelled great, it didn't last long in my hair and eventually the return of the amonia from the hair dye would resurface. I have always liked using the Garnier Fructis shampoo and conditioner lines and have found this one to equally great.

All of the Garnier products are awesome, and I've been a long time user. But this line is especially great because color treated hair often lacks shine and most products only claim to bring out that shine but don't really do so. Not only does this line increase the shine, but it also protects the fragile hair that has been treated. The price is unbeatable and the quality is great. The shampoos and conditioners smell amazing in the bottle, and the smell really lasts when its on your hair. I would recommend this to anyone with color treated hair!

The first thing I noticed about the Garnier Fructis Color Shield Shampoo & Conditioner was the great scent…so fresh and eye-opening first thing in the morning. It worked just like other shampoo and conditioners. I found that a single wash and rinse with the shampoo was enough – no need to repeat. My hair was smooth all day. I do wash my hair a lot and recently spent lots of time outdoors enjoying the summer weather. Nothing fades hair colour faster than the sun, but these products seemed to give me some extra time until my next date with the hair colour. Very nice.

Love it, kept my hair from getting a red tint from my water..................

Shampoo: It is amazing..
With little amount it works perfectly. And I have a long hair!
Smells yummy.. And yes, after 9 washes my hair color is still beautiful. No fading whatsoever.
However.. When it comes to the conditioner: I am not so happy.
First of all I loved the conditioner came with the hair color. I wish they can use the same product with the bottle set.
And honestly..
With that great shampoo I don't think I'll be using the conditioner. Because the shampoo already made my hair soft and de-tangled already..
When I used the conditioner it reversed it.. Strange but true.
So next time I used shampoo only.. And no detangling.. Smells awesome and when my hair was almost dry applied instant color sealer. Voila!

PS: First time in my life I did not use conditioner and was happy about it!

Thanks again Chick Advisor and Garnier Fructis for the opportunity to try the Colour Shield Shampoo and Conditioner.My Quest to find the perfect color lock Shampoo/Conditioner for red tones has finally been found!Ive always preferred to color my gray hair with hair dye that has red tones in it as I'm fair skinned.But trying to find products to lock in the red tones after coloring was really hard to find.Not to mention on top of the Shampoo/Conditioner the color itself I choice from Garnier stayed put and didnt fade out like previous dyes.Garnier Fructis is one of the best hair care lines on the market right now.I cant afford to go to a hair salon and pay an absurd amount of money on Shampoo and Conditioner ,I am happy I have found something very affordable that works.I have been washing and conditioning with the color shield line everyday now for just over 2 weeks with great results.I also want to re emphasis what Nitestar a few reviews ahead of me mentioned because to me this is really important. and was one of the first things I also noticed .I'm at that age where I'm trying to read things and things are starting to look really fuzzy and I'm really straining my eyes to read the small print.I like to read every package or product I buy whats in the ingredients before using it.I cant tell you how many times Ive been so frustrated because they put a light print on a color thats almost the same IMPOSSIBLE to read and just plain stupid of the company to do...That was the first thing I noticed with these products The bottle is pink but the ingredients are in white and so is all the other information on the bottle so it really stands out. For me that makes a big difference and is so helpful ,great marketing Garnier!The smell is wonderful as I mentioned with the sealer in another review.Its very uplifting and crisp its just reminds me of a crisp juicy apple.Both the shampoo and conditioner are super creamy and rich and you can actually see the oils from the Grape Seed Oil and Acai berry Oil in the conditioner.You dont need much a small drop goes a long way.My hair feels likes its deeply moisturized and feels strong.My hair feels more manageable and looks really shiny and healthy and has totally locked in that light red tone that in the past would fade so quickly.It has also helped in reducing a normally itchy dry scalp and dry hair.As mentioned with the color sealer in another review.I LOVE anything that advertises and can be a healthy product.So the Grape Seed Oil,Acai Berry,Uv protection,B3 and B6,Glucose and other vitamins and minerals are a big attraction to me.After all we have to live with our hair and we want it to look and feel the best it can be.The Grape Seed Oil is a great antioxidant and strengthens the hair The Acai Berry has omega6 and linolec acid to nourish the hair along with that there are numerous vitamins in Acai Berry.After to many bad dye jobs and products Ive used to count I'm so happy to have tried this product I am defiantly sticking with the color I choose and the Shampoo/Conditioner and Color sealer.Its good for my hair,has improved it,affordable,not to mention it will reduce the amount of times I will have to redye my hair because its faded so quickly in the past this in itself will save me money.Now if only Garnier could market something to stop the gray before it appears all together then they would be even more pure genius! lol.Thanks again Ive really enjoyed doing this review it makes such a difference when its something you really need for improvement and the fact that its all been such a positive review with every product Ive used in this Garnier line it makes me well just really happy!Thanks again.Bren.

Thank you Chick Advisor and Garnier for giving me the opportunity to try the Garnier Fructis Color Shield Shampoo & Conditioner. These are fantastic hair products that stand up to their promise of leaving your hair soft and silky while helping to keep your hair color shiny and bold.
I found that after coloring my hair with Garnier Nutrisse Cream and following it up with a regular regiment of Garnier Fructis Color Shield Shampoo & Conditioner, my hair looked healthy and vibrant. I have recommended both these products to my friends and family.
One of those people is my mother in law, who has about 80% Grey hair, and after coloring her hair for the first she found that it was dry and difficult to maintain. I told her that I was trying out a new product, Garnier Fructis Color Shield Shampoo & Conditioner, and suggested she give them a try. She did and within a week she called me to thank me for the suggestion. She told me that she really liked the smell of the Shampoo and that the conditioner left her hair feeling soft and she was finally able to run her fingers through her hair again.
For me, the Summer sun makes my hair very dry and spending a lot of time with my kids outside, plus washing my hair every day doesn't help. Because of this, I usually need to use a deep conditioner at least twice a week to keep my hair reasonably healthy. But with Garnier Fructis Color Shield Shampoo & Conditioner, my hair looked healthy, shinny, and felt absolutely soft. Since starting to use these products I have not needed to used my regular deep conditioner. The extra bonus is Color Shield Instant Color Sealer, which I use instead of my regular gel to give my curls that extra spring.

I am extremely picky about the shampoos that i use, because of my treated hair. However, the entire Garnier Fructis line of products - from the hair coloring right down to the shampoo, conditioner and sealer are one of the best investments you will ever make.

I was a little skeptical at first, however, as soon as I used the coloring on my hair for the first time and then simply followed it up with the regime of using this specially designed shampoo and conditioner, my hair has been incredibly soft, easy to handle and most importantly shiny!

I have thick hair and I have to say that I also have hair that does not usually cooperate - however, the shampoo and conditioner have done wonders in helping me "tame" my hair and I love how thickly I can apply both with ease. I can't stand liquidy products that just slip through your fingers when you use them.

I am also highly appreciative of the packaging. I wear glasses, which I, of course, have to remove before I wash my hair. This means that I can't read what is written on the bottles - but Garnier has obviously considered this as they have created very clever packaging - easily identifying which is the shampoo and which is the conditioner by inverting the writing on the bottle when it is sitting up. Now, I don't have to worry about using the wrong products at the wrong time. Clever and highly appreciated!

I loved the smell of both the Color Shield Shampoo and Conditioner. When in the shower, my hair felt like silk, and when I dried my hair if felt healthy. My second colour appliation, when paired with the color sheild products, seemed to leave my hair super soft & sexy! I noticed the difference: the colour doesn't seem to fade as fast. My hair looks healthy, my colour looks natural and vibrant, and it feels so amazing!! I would definately recommend the Colour Sheild Products to my friends.
