Kung Fu Panda Movie Reviews
#1012 in DVD

Description

Enthusiastic, big and a little clumsy, Po works in his family's noodle shop while daydreaming about becoming a Kung Fu master. His dreams soon become reality when he is unexpectedly chosen to join the world of Kung Fu and study alongside his idols-the legendary fighters Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey-under the leadership of their guru, Master Shifu. But before they know it, the vengeful and treacherous snow leopard Tai Lung is headed their way, and it's up to Po to defend everyone from the oncoming threat. Can he turn his dreams of becoming a Kung Fu hero into reality? Po puts his heart and his girth into the task, and ultimately finds that his greatest weaknesses turn out to be his greatest strengths.

Kung Fu Panda was an okay movie, but I did think it was silly in some areas. I did find I couldn't sit through some of it because it was somewhat boring. I don't like to say that, but I think the movie could of been better in certain areas.

It's a cute movie. I find alright. They are better movies out there so I'll say this isn't the worth neither.

What do you think, have you seen it?

This movie is rather funny but it feels a bit long and has some boring bits. I really noticed the time going by instead of just enjoying it.

I have to say i enjoyed this movie and laughed all the way through. Awsome story line and great cast I have to say. It also has a great moral for children. Though it was a great movie some children may get scared on some parts so if a younger person wants to watch then an parent or adult should be present.

I can't say enough about this movie! I loved it! I had the pleasure of getting sneak peak passes to see Kung Fu Panda in Toronto before the movie was released it theatres. The sneak peak was in Imax theatres which made experiencing this movie on the big screen even better!

Jack Black and Dustin Hoffman were fabulous in this movie along with the other actors playing the Furious 5 (Angelina Joie, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogan & David Cross).

I have to admit that I expected them to have the song Kung Fu Fighting playing somewhere in the background, which they did not, but other than that, the movie completely lived up to its hype!

Since then I have received this DVD for Christmas and I can't wait to watch it over and over again!

We rented this movie over the weekend and it's run pretty much nonstop since we cracked open the case! Very funny and sweet, with a moral to the story (of course) and great little details that take a few viewings to catch them all.

Jack Black is fabulous in this movie, a real standout in a pretty big cast (also stars Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Lucy Liu and Jackie Chan). The writers and technical team did such a good job infusing Po with Black's personality - one of the best portrayals Dreamworks has done in a while, in my opinion.

As with just about every family movie since Toy Story and beyond, the complex characters and subplots are a little out of reach for most kiddies. I personally don't really like this trend of writing for the adults in the audience because it has brought overly mature themes to a genre that is supposed to cater to the whole family, including the tots. (Shrek 2 comes to mind, but don't get me started ;)

I definitely recommend it, but don't expect Junior to get as much knee-slapping out of it as your cousin Mike.

I got this movie as a gift and I love it. In fact, I love it so much that I watched it twice the day I opened the gift.

The characters in this movie are very cute and very funny. My favourite is, of course, Po the panda. This film is entertaining for both children and adult. It also teaches valuable lessons on teamwork and self-esteem. The message I took from this movie is that if you believe in yourself, you can accomplish anything.

I highly recommend this film to anyone who enjoys a good laugh and fun evening.
