I was curious about the wand of this Mascara and was pleased to get it as part of the Lancôme make up set I purchased.

The wand with it's curves is rather unnecessary, but the different length bristles and formula does a great job holding a curl and adding length and volume to the lashes. There is a strong perfume scent that is also unnecessary for a mascara.

I would not purchase this mascara on it's own, because there are other drugstore and high end mascaras out there that perform better.

I got this in a little Lancome Sephora gift set and I was pleasantly surprised by this mascara. It works really well and it also lengthens my eyelashes. I also love the brush because it allows me to grab all of my lashes. However, the main reason why I won't repurchase this product is because of the price. If it comes in a gift set with other products then its worth it.

I would have been the last person to endorse an expensive, name brand mascara over a drugstore brand; I mean, we've all heard that they are essentially the same ingredients, just in higher end packaging. But in this case, I say not! The difference is so noticeable, it's shocking. I've forever used that deliciously pink and green brand of mascara and saw no need to switch. Once I had the Lancome in my hand, I decided to see how much of a difference there really was and used it on one eye and the tried and true Maybelline on the other. That was the end of that experiment. The Lancome Hypnose Drama in Excess Black is thick and creamy. The brush, which is slightly curved, ensures an even coating, and in just one swipe, the length is more than I ever got with multiple applications of the other mascaras! Love it, love it, love it. One caveat, though,...it appears the formulation may have changed in the recent past and I've noticed that it does dry out faster than before. However, the performance is still extraordinary.

This is my go to mascara for that dramatic eye catching deep look. It projects volume, thickness & length. I learned to jiggle the wand of a mascara brush as you go up the lashes to avoid lumps. That trick works great with this wavy wand. Love the mascara but don't love the high price. Though I'm willing to buy it again.

Lancome's Hypnose Drama Mascara works wonders. It lifts, seperates and fills in your lashes for a great effect. It's worth the cost. Love the curl the wand presents.

I got this in Shopper's Eye Studio sampler. I feel like if I hadn't already found what I think are my favourite mascaras already, this would be amazing. But I've found that some of the things I like about this mascara are also some of the things that aren't so great.
First of all, the wand has a wavy/ S type of shape. I find that this works well to catch most of my lashes, and helps emphasize their curl and volume, but also maybe contributes to this being a bit clumpy.
I like that this has a bit of a scent - it's not something I'm used to with mascara, and it makes this product (and me!) feel glamorous. On the other hand, I think the scent can be a tiny bit irritating when my allergies are acting up, and it does linger a bit throughout the day.
My one big problem with this is flakes - it isn't a ton of flaking, but it does happen.
Overall, I do recommend trying this out! It's good for delivering thick dark lashes, and the light scent makes it unique and (sometimes) fun to use!

I like how it doesn't smudge and leaves my eyelashes thicken, volume and lengthen all day. However, it's expensive and does give me clumps.

I love love this mascara it gives you that fake lash look, It's not for people who like the natural look this will give you loads of voulme and lenth people ask if I have fake lashes when i wear this.

id say this mascara is a little on the pricey side but this mascara is an "okay" mascara i wouldnt say its the best but i definately will not repurchase just becuase of the price but if you ever find this in a gift with purchase definately try it out :) it gives you a lot of length and just a bit of volume :D
