It’s ok

I’ve been using PanOxyl for about a week now, and so far it’s been okay. It’s still a bit early to see major changes, but my skin feels clean after using it and I haven’t had any negative reactions. I’m curious to see how it works with more consistent use.

Decent addition to skincare maintenance regime

I received a free bottle of PanOxyl Acne Gel Wash from Butterly in exchange for me to test it out and provide my honest review.

PanOxyl is made with a gentle gel-to-foam formula to help those of us with sensitive skin. I have mildly sensitive skin, so I don’t react most of the time to products; but if you have very sensitive skin, my review may not be as relevant for you. It comes in a pump bottle, and I love that you can lock it to avoid accidental squirts and loss of product. The gel is fragrance free, but does have a slightly unpleasant scent if you sniff it - doesn’t leave a scent behind though. Comes out as a clear gel, which becomes more of a cream as you lather it, and doesn’t leave behind any residue or a greasy feeling. A little goes a long way, so remember, less is more!

When I notice a breakout coming and during it, I use it once daily, at night before bed. I rinse my face, and while it is wet, squirt once into my palm and rub my hands together for a few seconds, then rub it onto my face (avoiding my eyes). I leave it on for a minute, then rinse it off fully. I do not apply a moisturizer.

It’s not just for your face!!! When I have any breakouts on my body, I apply some of this to those areas during my shower - back, shoulders, chest.

It isn’t an overnight miracle worker, takes a few days to a week. I also only get mild acne, so not sure how it works with more severe cases. A decent additive to a maintenance skincare regime.

Acne Gel Wash

Gave the PanOxl Acne Gel Wash to my 13 year old to help with her mild acne breakouts. She complained that her skin was getting dry and after a few days I noticed her face had visibly dry layers, especially around her nose and mouth. I asked if it started after using the gel wash and she said yes. I asked if she rinses it off after applying it to her face and she said no. I found this odd and asked if she read the directions properly. She said there were no directions so a huge disappointment with that - there needs to be directions! When I read the bottle after, there is just a general doctor’s warning. I told her she needs to wash the product off of her face. There are no issues since and she has stated that it leaves her face feeling soft and smooth after. I am unsure if it has made a true impact and lessening the severity of her acne (yet)

Acne Gel Wash Not Very Effective

I've been having some bad acne these days, so I tried using the PanOxyl Acne Gel Wash for a few days. To be honest, it didn't work for me in the beginning. It didn't help clear existing acne right away, and unfortunately, new breakouts started happening shortly after for some reason. This deep cleansing wash is supposed to exfoliate and penetrate pores, helping to keep skin clear of acne. I used this acne wash twice a day, and it took several days for my acne to calm down and slowly go away.

This acne wash is a gel that becomes foam when lathered onto the skin. My skin felt smooth when I rinsed off the foam with water. My skin didn't feel overly dry or dehydrated. I would continue to use this acne gel wash in hopes of clearing my existing acne and preventing new breakouts.

didn't do much for acne

I was optimistic about this product, having heard positive things about the brand. While it did not improve my acne, it left my skin feeling clean and refreshed, though slightly dry. The product doesn’t have an unpleasant odour, and I appreciate the efficient packaging. Additionally, a small amount is effective, so the product lasts a long time.

Hoping for good results!

I received this Acne Gel Wash to try. I have small pimples on my cheeks and on my chin. I used this wash daily for 7 days and noticed that even with a small dab, it effectively covered a large area of my face. It came out a clear gel but when applied to my skin and gently rubbed on, the solution became white which was nice to see where I was effectively spreading the gel. It had no scent which I like and felt smooth on my face when applied. There were no visible instructions on the packaging so I was unsure how long to keep it on before washing off. Some simple instructions would have been very useful. I washed the solution off my face after about 10 seconds and it came off quite easily. However, I noticed that once washed off, those areas where I had applied the gel became extremely dry. I then had to apply facial moisturizer because the dryness bothered me. So far my pimples are less inflamed and no redness. I will continue use to see if it effectively gets rid of or prevent new pimples from popping up.

A nice product, but not for me

Having tried many other PanOxyl products in the past, I was excited to receive another product from this brand. Unfortunately, there must be something in the Acne Gel Wash that does not agree with my skin, as the lower half of my face broke out in a rash after only two uses.
However, if you are not sensitive to any of the ingredients, it may be a great option. The gel is fragrance free, foams nicely, and cleanses well. The pump top bottle is super convenient as well.
I have used several other PanOxyl acne products in the past without issue, and wouldn't hesitate to try other products by them again. I think this is just a case of a product not being a good match for my skin.

It’s ok

The packaging was nice. I liked how the product felt on my face. It didn’t leave my face feeling dry. The only issue I had was trying to find the directions as it was very difficult because the writing was so small.

Its alright

I’ve been using the PanOxyl Acne Gel Wash 2% Salicylic Acid by PanOxyl and it’s a solid, no-fuss cleanser. It foams lightly and cleans without leaving my skin feeling overly dry like some acne washes.
After a couple of weeks, I noticed fewer breakouts and less oil. It feels gentler than harsher treatments but still effective.
Overall, it’s an affordable, straightforward option that works well for oily or combination skin and is worth trying.

It’s okay

I don’t know if it makes any difference for pores or acne. I still think it’s good to use these anti acne ingredients once in a while but I prefer non actives in my cleanser.
