I received a full size lipstick in the May 2012 Glam Bag. I was sent the color Repentance, which, oddly enough, is nowhere to be found on the Studio Gear website, so I can't give their description of the color. I was pretty disappointed in it.
The packaging is nice. The tube is black and has a bit of texture to it. It was in my mailbox for under fifteen minutes, though, and it was very soft and was "sweating" when I got to it. I do live in Florida, though, so that kind of thing does happen.
The Complete Color Lipsticks contain hyaluronic acid for moisturizing and folic acid for plumping. Repentance is pretty sheer on me, so I had to really slather it on to get much of a color payoff. It did feel nice on my lips, but honestly, Revlon's Lip Butters feel almost exactly the same. The difference? I can find Lip Butter for around $6. The Studio Gear Lipstick retails for $15. As for the plumping effect: I didn't get that at all. Had I not gone to the Studio Gear website for information on it, I wouldn't have even known that it was supposed to be plumping.
The color did not stay on my lips for very long, either. It had all but disappeared within an hour, and that was just from me carrying on a conversation.
I was happy to try out a new lipstick, but I really doubt that I'll bother using it. I wouldn't buy it again, either, even if it cost less than it does.
