A great option instead of in person shopping

If you love shopping at Sobeys then this is a great alternative for not having to go in the stores. It’s an effective service and I would recommend it! I don’t typically shop at their grocery store so I doubt I would do this again because I love getting the best deals for my groceries and would prefer that over delivery

Really good experience

I tried Voila as part of a review and I was especially excited after all the positive reviews. I want to start by saying that the process was really easy and the driver was extremely professional. They call before they arrive and do a temp check on your items and make sure the items are good before giving them too you. You can also check expiry dates, and only one item was a problem in my order.

The pricing at these stores are generally higher so for me it took time to look through and see what I deemed an acceptable price for the items on my shopping list. I did found promos and got some great prices on certain items, sad it limits you and I could not get more from that section.

The delivery fee is completely acceptable and I wish this service had been available sooner! Maybe they can order a monthly subscription or some type of referral system. I really liked that that you can basically shop different stores like FreshCo, Well.ca and Farmboy all in one place.

not bad

I received a voucher for Voila by Sobey's. The website is easy to use and placing an order was super easy.
The main issue I experienced was that there was not much fresh produce to select from, most items were "sold out". The little produce I did receive was great! It was fresh and good sized. The other thing is they have a "bag program". You need to provide them with the same amount of plastic bags that they used for your order or there is a charge per bag.
I am definitely going to give it another chance and hope they have a better selection.

Great service

I usually don't order my groceries online so this was an interesting thing to review. My order was easy to place, when it was delivered it was accurate and the delivery people were friendly and prompt. This is a great service for people who have young kids or for whatever other reasons can't (don't want to) get to the store and shop in person.

My only hesitation with using it, is that I use a lot of coupons and with online ordering you are not able to do it. I also shop at Costco in bulk for some items, which is convenient and easy for me.

Would Recommend

I received a discount code from ChickAdvisor to try Voila by Sobeys grocery delivery. As with anything, there are pros and cons. Luckily, there are only a few cons to this service, all of which are not of great significance. One of the negatives would be the pricing - this has nothing to do with this specific service provided by Sobeys but rather with the chain itself. Sobeys is not the place I typically shop for groceries, as the price points are a little high. I can get the exact same products for much cheaper elsewhere. Another one is that the curbside delivery is not available in Ontario. Ideally, they would have all options available in all of the areas they service. However, I am sure in time they will have this option for Ontario. Lastly, I was very disappointed in my hamburger buns! Two days after receiving my order, my son ate one of the hamburger buns and it was moldy! To be fair though, you could not see the mold on the outside of the bun - it was on the inside, so this would not be a fault of the company per se. All of these cons - though valid - are quite minuscule in the grand scheme of things. Especially for a brand new service provided by this company.

Now for the pros. The website is extremely easy to use and navigate, quite user friendly. Signing up for an account was very quick and easy, which I can appreciate. The produce was all fresh and the cold things were cold - I was advised they temperature check the food which is fantastic - no melting of frozen products or wilting veggies! The delivery guy was provided with large bins and a dolly which made the delivery much easier (I have had grocery deliveries in the past and the guy had to strong arm all my groceries upstairs as I live in a building and ended up just dropping them all at my door). Lastly, and the BIGGEST pro of this service, was the gentleman I interacted with that delivered my groceries. He called me 15 minutes prior to delivery to advise he was on his way. He was EXTREMELY polite, with a positive attitude (you could hear the smile in his voice over the phone). When he arrived, he was very gentle with my groceries when placing them in front of my door. He asked me if it was my first delivery and then walked me through what they do with every order. He made sure I was happy with my delivery and even offered to wait for me to check over everything.

Overall, this is definitely one of the best grocery delivery services out there. I can truly appreciate the extra steps they take to make the experience enjoyable for the customer. If Sobeys is your go to place for groceries, I would say you're going to love this service, hands down. If not, I still say try it out as it was an extremely pleasant experience overall!

I typically do not order my groceries online very often, but Voila is a great service. There were a lot of sales and specials available and I saved quite a bit of money on some items that I normally purchase in-store. The order arrived within the requested time frame, the delivery person was very friendly and courteous (they called ahead to ensure that I was home), and all of the items I ordered arrived (no backordered or out of stock items/substitutions). The frozen items were still frozen when received and the quality of produce was great! I will be using Voila again in future and will definitely recommend it!

Voilà! A new way to get your groceries!

I was a lucky lady to receive a discount code to try this new service by Sobeys and took full advantage! I ordered my grocery online the day before and picked my one hour time slot and Voila! They were delivered on time.
The process was super easy. If you know how to online shop it’s just the same. I chose a wide variety of foods and sauces especially the heavy stuff that I just didn’t want to carry when at the store.
One downside was that I put some items in my cart but when I checked out they were not available anymore. I was looking forward to those items.
The prices are a little high for my liking as I am used to shopping at Walmart and No Frills but the convenience was great!
The delivery guy called to let me know he was 10mins away and to ensure someone would be home. I was at work so I called the house to let the person at home know that the delivery was on its way.
It came at the beginning of the hour delivery slot I chose which was great.
All in all I would recommend this and may use it again when I’m too lazy to go to the store :)

The product and service delivery is on time

It’s a great way to shop grocery online, the delivery is on time. item in my shopping list are all fresh and they make sure they check the temperature they explain well how they process your grocery items.I will definitely use voila again.

Best delivery service I've tried in GTA

I had an excellent experience with Voila! Downloading the App and ordering was super simple. I was able to easily search for my items and save them in my cart for later purchase. When I ordered I picked a one-hour timeframe for delivery the next day. It arrived on time. The delivery guy was super helpful and explained the service well. He explained that certain bags that had green handles were the cold items to be put away first. He also mentioned that frozen items are kept on dry ice and the whole truck is refrigerated and temperature controls are done. He asked if at glance if everything looked ok, and it was more than great! Even freshness dates were far in the future. My mushrooms are still fresh a week later! I will definitely be ordering from them again!

I received a $25 off Voila voucher from chick advisor in exchange for my honest review.
Voila is a grocery shopping delivery service for sobeys, freshco, farmboy and well.ca all in one place.
I like the voila app, it’s very easy to use and is organized according to different departments. The only thing I didn’t like was that, not all of the items ingredients and nutrition info are displayed, so that was really inconvenient for me because when I shop, those are the two details that I like to refer to when deciding which products to shop for.
I am a big air miles reward collector, so not being able to collect my air miles from Sobeys is disappointing. They need to add air miles to their system ASAP!!!
On a positive note, they have a policy where they guarantee fresh produce, or it’s free. They weren’t kidding about that, because when I got my greens, they were super fresh! Fresher than what you can get in the store!! And I am SUPER picky when it comes to picking my produce. So that’s a big plus and I love that!!!
I like how they are never late with my delivery, they are always on time or early.
I would definitely use their service again!
