By far my favorite tea shop in toronto. Lately there seems to be a lot of tea shops popping up but this one is still my favorite. The staff are really knowledgeable about the ingredients and health benefits of all the teas. Try the pumpkin chai tea!

The only Davids Tea I've been to is the one in Sherway - it was my first time ever hearing about this place, and the shop was small AND crowded of course so it was kind of overwhelming. One of the girls working there was pretty helpful though, asking us what flavours we were into and showing us tins of what she recommended, and giving us one of the 'tea of the day' samples.
I ended up purchasing some tea from their website after that, because I couldn't decide in the store, there were just tooo many. The good thing about the website is that they give you 3 free samples of random teas (usually the newest ones, and enough for at least one cup each) with your orders. Plus, it seems like some of the shops aren't always stocked up - it goes quickly - but on the site, they almost always have all of the products they advertise. AND the customer service is good. If you have questions or an issue with a product, they are more than willing to help you out.
I've tried a bunch of their teas now, and loved almost all of them. The descriptions they give for each tea is usually pretty accurate so you know what you're getting even if you don't see/smell/taste it before buying. And they always have something for each taste, as well as seasonal stuff.

Love Davids Tea. I use to be a huge Tealish fan - but find that as they only have the 1 location on Queen Street West it's not all that accesible. Davids Tea has now several location. I love their vast variety of teas and it's such a nice store. My favourite tea was their Watermelon tea that I believe is considered a seasonal tea. They also have a selection of nice gifts ranging from cups to kettles.

I never had tea there for dine-in or take-out - I just bought loose tea to make at home. You can just stand in the store for an hour smelling all types of tea trying to decide, and the customer service people will not get irritated - they are happy to help you pick out the best tea. I've tried a lot of dirrenet kinds but my favourites so far are White Tiger (organic white tea mixture) and Turkish Delight (black tea with fruit, seeds, and nuts - very nice on a cold winter night)

David's Tea recently opened up a store in Guelph in Stone Road Mall.
I LOVE the chilled tea. I've tried many flavours but my favourites are Coffee Pu'erh, Forever Nuts, and Matcha Genmaicha. They have many different flavours to satisfy your craving for fruits, herbal, coffee and more. When you drink it, you taste the water and right after, the different layers of flavour kick in.
I haven't been to the store in Toronto, but the one in Guelph is nicely decorated. It looks very modern. Similar to the Toronto one, as mentioned in the first post, there is limited seating and teas of the day. The Guelph location only has take-out tea (chilled or hot), and goodies and tea leaves available for purchase.
Another thing I love about David's Tea is that they make the tea on the spot so you know it's fresh and not premade in a machine. They also display their teas behind the counter on the wall so you can choose, and smell the teas before purchasing.
I absoloutely adore this company and hope they open more stores!

I was here interviewing the founder before the holidays and what a cute little shop it is! It looks like something you'd find in Montreal, which is where the Ottawa born Founder, David Segal currently lives. There are over 130 varieties of loose tea, and when you come in you are treated to a free sample of their newest seasonal brew. Homemade cupcakes are on hand if you'd like a snack, but there is limited seating since it is more of a take out than dine in business.

I purchased a 50g bag of loose Jasmine Dragon Pearls for approximately $20. This may sound like a lot for tea but the pearls are hand rolled and you only need a few of them for a cup of tea so it lasts for a long time. Teas can also be purchased in a decorative tin for storage.

If tea isn't your bag, check out their large selection of gifts and goodies with endless ideas for the tea lovers in your life.

DAVIDsTEA plans to take over the world of tea and will be franchising and expanding across North America and possibly other parts of the world. It is a Canadian company.

    Thumbs up!
