A wonderfully effective daily moisturizer! It absorbs very quickly into the skin and this allows me to apply makeup right afterwards, as there is no greasy feeling. In the autumn and winter months, my skin tends to look dull, but not with this moisturizer. It makes my skin look and feel so refreshed and hydrated, giving it a healthy glow and eliminating any dry patches. The scent is very light and pleasant, derived from cotton flower extract and I love that it doesn't contain any parabens and the product is also animal cruelty free. It has a user friendly pump, an appreciated feature since I'm usually used to moisturizers that come in jars that require you to stick your fingers in the product, which I think is not too hygienic. Therefore, I know that I am applying a germ-free moisturizer to my skin each and every time. The formula, itself, is meant for sensitive skin and after much use, I have never experienced any pimples or redness with this product. The only downside I can think of is the price. It sells for over $20.00 for 50 grams but if your skin is very sensitive, it is well worth it.
BURT'S BEES SENSITIVE DAILY MOISTURIZER;
A trusted brand, Burt's Bees is a company that basis all its products on nature / organic / good quality products.
However this particular moisturizer was average for my liking and for the brand.
Though it was stated to be for sensitive skin, I did not think so.
It was for combination or normal skin, definitely NOT sensitive skin.
As well the product is very oily when you open, it becomes watery upon opening.
It seems that an ingredient within the moisturizer does not sit well and combine with the other ingredients to be a cream throughout. This was an issue that there is a chemical off balance.
It is simple packaging which I like for a "natural product" claiming to be 99% natural.
Cotton Extract not sure how much that affects the moisturizer.
I am not sure if I would purchase this moisturizer again, it is average, not sure if like or do not like.
When I read that it contained cotton extract, I think I inadvertently rolled my eyes. What are they going to find to add next?! I was pleasantly surprised with the product though, it's very light and to me it has a faint cinnamon scent (which I like!) I like the feeling on my skin, it feels fresh and not greasy. I already have my go-to brands, but I think I could add this to my list!
I really like that it is fragrance free, it makes it a lot better to use and it's great for if you have sensitive skin which I do.
This kept my face moisturized for about half an hour then felt dry again, so I would not purchase again.
I always expect lots from Burts Bees, but this product didnt really convince me. I used the sample of it though, so I dont have long use experience.
I didnt get any scent or smell out if it and I actually like and prefer that. Doesnt irritate my skin and thats a good thing. Texture is very runny and light, absorbs fast and doesnt leave skin oily, its feels smooth after use. But i just dont get enough moisture. I would no purchase it, just doesnt really work for me and my skin.
I received a sample of Burt's Bees Sensitive Daily Moisturizing Cream with Cotton Extract in the mail courtesy of Samplesource.ca.
I like that it's fragrance free, the rest of the claims on the packaging can't really be supported. After all, they can easily get any dermatologist to recommend this product or claim it's allergy tested.
The product in my sample came out first with oil, and then the cream. So I'm assuming if you have the bottle you may want to shake it before applying.
I didn't care for the smell. I'm not sure exactly what the smell was, but it was sort of medicine-like.
The texture is very light and easy to rub in. I don't feel like it's very moisturizing though, so this is probably more of a summer time moisturizer than a winter one.
I would not buy Burt's Bees Sensitive Daily Moisturizing Cream. While I like that it has the leaping bunny logo and it's 99% natural, I also like my ceramides and hyaluronic acid that really penetrate skin and keep it moisturized. The Burt's Bees Sensitive Daily Moisturizing Cream did feel smooth afterward, but the effects weren't lasting.
This is an okay moisturizer. I haven't noticed any breakouts, and its nice and light for the warmer months. I would not use this at a time when I really needed extra moisture in my skin because the formula is really, really light.
I do like the light scent also - not super overpowering like with other brands (that will often break out sensitive skin!)
I have sensitive skin, so of course, I was eager to try this moisturizer. For those ladies with sensitive skin, you know exactly what I mean.. Finding a face moisturizer is near impossible.
I really liked the Burts Bees in the beginning... But after a few days, I noticed I did start to break out and my skin was very sore.
This happened as well, with another Burts Bees sensitive product. I hope other ladies have some luck with this though.. Like I said - It did work well in the beginning. I just may be WAY to sensitive for any moisturizer, ever lol.
