Help ease my suffering

I usually don't get chest congestion but I have a doozy of a chest cold, worst cold or flu I've ever had. I tried other medications and nothing seemed to help get rid of the congestion. The first pill help immensely I felt relief and I was getting rid of some of the phlegm. The next day I was able to breath better and now I feel as though I am on the mend. I would not recommend you use this product if you are working or driving this product makes you very sleepy.

Relief

You know how you feel when you have a cold, you feel like your head is going to explode, you can't breath thru your nose, yet it drips. You cough and cough, you feel the phlegm in the back of your throat but just will not come up. Enter Mucinex- relief. Suddenly you are able to blow your nose, cough up that phlegm and start feeling better.

Overall, a good tool to have when dealing with a bad cough.

I can’t stand really thick chesty coughs, but I find that when I have them Mucinex tablets work fast and last a long time. I usually get about 8 hours out of one of these, so not quite as much as advertised but still a long time.

These are not the smallest pills, and being extended-release they also can’t be broken up for anyone who can’t swallow large pills. (Check picture included to see size of pill)

If you can’t swallow pills, I would take liquid medicine over these. They’re non-drowsy, which is important for me because I rely on medicine like this most when I need to work, so I appreciate that these are fast-acting, non-drowsy, and can easily be taken to work or stuffed into your luggage if you’re travelling.

One really, really important thing about these that's often overlooked, is that it's really important to check with your pharmacist to make sure it won't interact with any of your medications as Mucinex has a fair few medications it can't be taken with. Better safe than sorry, especially if you're on an anti-depressant or similar medicine, it's really important to check anything new you take, even cold remedies or decongestants.

Overall, a good tool to have when dealing with a bad cough.

Cold Season brings congestion and the inability to get rid of the build-up of grossness in my chest.

Normally I just use Oil of Oregano and cough drops, however, this most recent cold was rather nasty and I just couldn’t cough out the bad stuff.

This tablet was really difficult to swallow (it’s bigger than my normal pills), but with water and force, it went down.

It acted within the hour, and although the direct after effect was not pretty, it definitely worked some sort of magic. I was able to sleep the night through and felt SO much better in the morning, and was able to go to work a few days later.

I’ll definitely keep this on hand as another remedy in my medicine cabinet!
