From its inception, OPI broke through nail industry barriers. OPI was one of the first in the nail industry to focus on and limit sales of product to and through beauty professionals only, and to realize the importance of education in both the sale and use of the product. From the very beginning, OPI has shown its commitment to quality by putting batch numbers, instructions and ingredients on all of the products it sells. OPI has a dedicated team of scientists who ensure product quality and safety, and bring the latest technology and advances to its product offerings. Totally fell in love with OPI Black Shatter- it looks great with any colour under the black- you can use any colour you like, I did a test run with white (cause I think black & white look amazing together in fashion, so why not in nail polish)? You want to use a high contrast colour like hot pink, bright blue, yellow, orange, etc for this to look the best. I would stay away from dark shades as you will not be able to see the colour underneath the black.
1st step is to apply your bright colour nail polish, do a second coat if need be & then finish with a top clear coat (this will make sure the bright colour really shines when adding the black on top).
2nd step is to make sure your nails are completely dry, when you think their dry I would wait an extra 5 minutes after that, just to be safe!
3rd step is to apply the shatter coat, I would say clean off the brush quite a bit before you apply a coat of Shatter as you don't want it to completely cover the original colour. Try not to go over it too many times (I tried to go once down the middle, then once down the right side, followed by the left side). You have to move quickly on this, I found the shatter to dry pretty fast, also try not to go over the same spot twice.
4th step is to apply a top coat, the Shatter is pretty matte & you will be able to feel the bumps & cracks of it if you don’t, this will also give the look a super high gloss finish.
FYI- the bottle it says to use Shatter with Katy Perry nail polish line, but I think that’s just a marketing ploy as it will work on any nail polish you have, may that be OPI, Revlon, Mac, etc.
Overall I would totally recommend this product for anyone looking to have some fun with their nails!

OPI makes the best nail polishes! I love their colours and they seem to release new lines quite frequently. It is often hard to keep up with their new releases. One of my favourite colours is Lincoln Park After Dark. This nailpolish colour is a classic dark plummy colour.

I love the OPI brand of nail polishes. They go on smooth, have a vibrant color, are long lasting and pretty chip resistant. I find my nails grow out first at the cuticles well before my first chip appears. I have tons of colors and find they are the one brand of nail polish I tend to stay true to because of the quality.

OPI was the one and only nail polish we ever used in esthetics class and i instantly understood why! This is a brilliant line of polishes and there are none better. OPI has everything you could ever want in color and is the leader in new and trendy polishes. The application is simple and easy flowing. Not too runny not too thick, it is just right every time and the brushes last forever. The price is worth it. This is my go to line of polish and i always recommend OPI to anyone i know.

I have (too) many bottles of OPI polish. They are constantly releasing new shades and not only follow trend but create them. They make great cream polishes that are often one coat wonders. Formula can vary from shade to shade, but for the most part they are great, long lasting, vibrant polishes.
Lately, they can be trickier to get in Canada and from e-tailers that will ship to Canada, but they are totally worth getting if you can!

OPI nail lacquers are my favorite of all the polishes that I have tried. The formula is spot on, not to thick and not to thin. The color saturation is amazing and with a lot of the colors, you don't even need a second coat. The brush is wider than some, but it's nice because it covers more area and makes it easier to get a more even coat. I have Vampire State Building, Rumple's Wiggin', and Ogre-the-Top Blue. Recently when I was in Seattle, I found a beauty supply store that is open to the public and that sells almost any OPI color you could possibly think of. So, if you live in the Seattle area, you know what I'm talking about and you need to get your butt on down there. For others, I highly suggest Amazon or Google sites that you may be able to get them cheaper at.

More expensive than most brands, but definitely worth it. Long-lasting and great colour. Would recommend it.

I'm a bit biased to OPI Nail Polish since its all I wear. My absolute favorite thing about OPI nail polishes is the wide range of colors they come in and the fun little names of each one. The convenience of using it is great too because if your looking for a certain color, no need to remember the shade or hue, just the name that goes with it.
As far as long lasting color goes, its no different than any other nail polish, at least for me anyway. The state of your manicure is a true test of the lifestyle you have. Mine gets pretty crazy at times and I have yet to find a polish that can keep up with it and last for 10 days, yeah right. OPI's polishes are not as thin as other polishes though, which is great. You don't need to apply 10 coats to get a nice even color going, one or two will do it just fine.
