It is ok and is not for everybody

This product is not for everybody.
You know those peealing of masks that basically peel of your face when you try to take them off? Well, this is one of them!
I actually like this kind of masks because they remove the layer of dead skin and I am used to it but some people may find it painful. It does make my skin feel a little softer and exfoliated but not as clean and bright as other masks do.

When applying, make sure you don't apply a layer too thin or it will harder to peel it off. Also, if you apply a layer too thick it will take a long time to dry off, so beware.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Maxglow Peel off Mask

I received the Aveeno Positively Radiant Maxglow Peel off Mask courtesy of ChickAdvisor in exchange for my honest and unbiased review #gotitfree.

The peel off mask is light green in colour and medium consistency that comes out easily in a tube. The peel off mask is infused with AHAs, soy, and kiwi and exfoliates and brightens the skin. It is also lightly scented.

The instructions state to apply a generous layer and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. You can tell when it is dry because your face appears more shiny and feels a little tight. I think that I didn't apply a thick enough layer as I was having trouble peeling the mask off. I have found that rubbing your face a little bit helps the mask come off a little and then you can start peeling. The mask comes off a small pieces and I spent quite some time peeling it and then having to rinse off the pieces that I can't peel. Also when applying the mask, you have to be quick. If you apply too thin of a layer it will dry fast and when you try to apply more it starts rubbing off and forming balls of product on your face.

After removing the mask, my face felt really smooth but other than that I didn't notice any other difference. I feel like if this mask came out all in one piece it would have been better.

Mixed results

I really wanted to love the aveeno Positively Radiant Maxglow peel off mask, unfortunately I am stuck somewhere in the middle. First, I love the natural ingredients in this mask. Second, the ingredients were gentle on my skin, which at times can be sensitive. Third, parts of my face were very soft after use.
Now the parts I didn't love so much. First, you are to "apply a generous, even layer. That caused some issues. First, I found the mask difficult to spread evenly, and second, I had to use nearly half of the full amount just to get a layer thick enough on my skin that I could actually even see it, so in my opinion this is not a cost effective product in that regard. Secondly, "let dry for 15-20 minutes" I found inaccurate. Even though I had a difficult enough time spreading it evenly, I found that it took much longer to dry than stated. After half an hour I finally peeled it off with some discomfort as it was not a "gentle" peel, although as someone who is familiar with peel masks, this was expected. And finally, the mask did not simply peel off as expected. Parts did, which was simple, but parts of my cheeks would not. Even after the extended wait time and even layer I found that parts simply wouldn't dry consistantly therefor had to be vigourously scrubbed and picked off, which left my face red and blotchy as it would not wipe off. I also found this parts of the mask left residue which had to be removed with Micellar water.

Overall I would rate this a 5 out of 10. The parts of the mask that worked as intended left my skin feeling nice and soft, however the overall experence leaves me to feel that I would spend the suggested retail amount.

Peel mask

I was sent this mask to review I have to say I enjoyed the smell and the way it smoother onto skin I just found hard to remove if u don’t put an even thick layer it’s difficult and messy to remove but once I did remove my skin was soft and had a lit from within glow.

Was a little painful

I #gotitfree and was excited to try this mask after reading good reviews. I found the mask to be a bit painful when peeling off and the payoff wasn't great. After putting the mask on it didn't take long for the mask to dry and was easy enough to peel off, but it did hurt. I didn't notic a big changes in my skin as compared to the no mess night mask by aveeno.

I would pass on this.

Another peel off!

I love peel off masks mainly due to the laziness of having to go to the bathroom and wash product off my face. I will say I did see my skin as more glowing after BUT it didn’t get the dead skin on my forehead that other peel offs have done. I’ll still use it and potentially rebuy again if it goes on sale!

Waste of Time and Money

I was selected to try the AVEENO POSITIVELY RADIANT MAXGLOW PEEL-OFF MASK for free from ChickAdvisor in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions and I was not impressed. Full disclosure: I prefer a sheet mask as I find them easier to use and peel off masks are not my favourite. Anyways... the product is dispensed in a squeeze tube container and comes out a slime green color (which I think is pretty cool!). It dries on the skin clear, however, and other then the shine you wouldn't even know you had anything on your face. The consistency of the mask is VERY sticky and tacky and the product does not spread easily onto the skin. The directions say to apply a "generous amount" which you pretty much have no choice in doing. I applied the product as evenly as I could given the texture and consistency of the mask.

The directions say to wait 15-20 minutes so the mask can set - I waited 20 and the mask was totally dried. After the first 5 minutes I could feel the mask tightening and hardening and my face was so uncomfortable. I couldn't talk without wincing and was definitely not a fan of that. After suffering through the 20 minutes the fun part came - peeling it off! Except, this was literally the least fun thing I have ever done. The mask came off in tiny little pieces. Yes it was fully dry. Yes the mask was even on my face. It was just IMPOSSIBLE to peel off, let alone in a few easy pulls. I had to pick at my skin and the mask to try and get it off and it was SO painful. It pulled every single tiny hair on my face and what felt like the first layer of my skin. Ouch. After 10 minutes and having almost all of one cheek and my nose peeled off I got frustrated and just washed the rest off.

I will say that the mask did make my skin feel soft and smooth. It did make my skin look really nice - but was far too painful to ever use again. I have found cheaper masks that give the same if not better results. Overall I was not impressed with this product and will not recommend or use it again.

Okay mask, value not great.

I was excited to try this mask since I do love masks and the promise of glowing skin is a bonus. My first issue was upon beginning to apply I found out that I would need alot of product to cover my face is the thick layer they suggest. The mask does not spread far, so I found myself squeezing more and more in order to get good coverage. The mask smells nice, although a bit strong for me. It does dry quickly and is ready to peel in 15 minutes. Considering the ampunt of product I put on I was expecting a thicker clean pull. However like most masks, it still came off in thin pieces instead of one pull as advertised. I still needed to rinse my face to get the residual and scent off. It was also too gentle for my liking as I was hoping it might pull a few impurities with it. My skin did feel slightly softer after use, not too sure if I glow more though. This might work for others, but for me sadly it's a pass.

Je n'ai pas aimé ce produit

Pour différentes raisons, je n'ai pas aimé ce produit, bien qu'il soit efficace. En effet, ma peau était très douce, quand je l'ai retiré. Cela dit, à l'application, le produit sent fort. Je toussais en l'appliquant, ce qui est pour moi le signe que certains ingrédients du produit posent problème. Après l'avoir appliqué, le produit avait collé partout, dans mes cheveux et sur mon chandail. Pire encore, j'ai eu tellement mal quand j'ai voulu l'enlever. Ce fût super désagréable. Au-delà de l'efficacité d'un produit, j'aime qu'il soit agréable à utiliser, et ce n'est pas du tout le cas avec ce produit que je n'achèterai pas.

Does what it says

I received this product free for review from ChickAdvisor. I love peel-off masks because they're mess free and easy to remove. As someone who suffers from clogged pores, I like these types of masks to help "detox" my skin. I like the way this product smells, and while it applies evenly and dries down quick and removes effortlessly, it didn't amaze me or make my skin appear brighter. It does what is says in a sense that it lifts way dry patches, but I don't think it brightens skin. It's a good option for a drugstore product for sure, and I'll continue using it, but likely won't buy this one once I finish the one I have.
