Love these Bison bites - wish they were less salty

There are so many things I love about these little Bison Buckaroos! One of the biggest is that they don’t need to be refrigerated. I can literally throw a few into my bag or pocket when I’m heading out and not have to worry about keeping them cold or having them spoil in the heat.

I LOVE the bite-sized portions and convenient packaging, and for something so small, they really pack a punch when it comes to protein. They’ve quickly become one of those snacks I like to keep with me when I’m on the go because I know I have a quick, protein-rich, relatively low-calorie option whenever my energy starts dipping.

The ingredient and dietary side impresses me just as much. Premium bison is the first ingredient, they’re certified gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free and allergen-free, with no added nitrites or nitrates. Having a certified gluten-free grab-and-go snack is particularly important in our household because my daughter and I have celiac disease. I also love that they’re traditionally fermented and cold-smoked rather than feeling like another overly processed snack.

And, of course, I LOVE that they’re made right here in Canada! 🇨🇦

My one criticism is the saltiness. I personally find them a little too salty for my taste and would enjoy them even more if that were toned down. Other than that, there is genuinely so much I like about these — especially the convenience, size, protein content and how easy they are to carry absolutely anywhere.

They’ve definitely earned a regular spot in my bag!

Delicious snack

These are so good! I’m not usually a fan of gamey meat but these are delicious! Tastes like pepperoni! They’re not overly salty and I LOVE that they’re nitrate-free and low carbs. They make the perfect guilt-free late night snack when watching tv!

A Protein Packed Tasty Treat

I absolutely loved these! The buckaroos are perfect to take on a hike or when I’m out camping. They taste great and I love that it’s Canadian made ❤️ there’s no better feeling than knowing you can support a local business that provides high-quality products! 10/10, definitely recommend!

Perfect nutrition in one tiny bite!

First off the fact that Buckaroos are Canadian is an absolute bonus! These tasty little morsels are such an easy way to get a boost of protein when you’re on the go. They taste delicious and are a fan favourite of the whole fams. As a busy mom on the go with baseball boys Buckaroos has come in clutch time and time again!

Great snack for hiking or pool day

Snackle Box Essential!

This was the first time adding Buff Bison Buckaroos to our family snackle box, and it was just the thing we were always missing. These high-protein bites were actually that high protein savory component that we needed. They pair with classic staples like cheese cubes, pretzels, and crackers. We enjoyed them on a day out to the zoo and it was delicious. I love that they are bite-sized and mess free as well!

The best snack with protein

Guilt free snack

I am so happy that I got to try these out, finding meat sticks in particular with no nitrates & nitrite added in is so hard and the fact that they used maple syrup… Amazing choices. I am so glad, you have have to really enjoy pepperoni taste to like these, but the texture was great. The size is great, my dad sampled more than a few, and he really enjoyed them too! They are high-quality and I love their maiden Canada as well. I have to be careful about ingredients due to chronic bladder pain in. These didn’t flared up, just due to the clean ingredients and I’m so grateful. Consequence free snack and a high source of protein. Heck yeah.

Tiny Sticks, Big BUFF Energy

Buff Buckaroos Little Bison Snack Sticks have officially become one of those snacks that just fits into our day without trying too hard. They are that perfect “grab it and go” protein hit and super easy for busy days: toss them in a work bag, bring them on an outdoor adventure, or add them to a backyard charcuterie board. Most importantly they taste great!
What I love most is how clean they are (all natural, nitrate free, gluten free, high quality bison protein).
They taste leaner and way less fatty and taste clean rather than greasy with a slightly richer, sweeter, smokey meat flavour. The casing isn’t hard or tough, and they are firmer and have a tighter bite.
They’re easy, they’re tasty, and are one of those snacks that actually keep you full. Plus, I’ve started spotting BUFF at local grocers and markets, which makes it even better. I love supporting Canadian brands that deliver.
