i personally love the pomegranate oil version. the taste is quite waxy and flavourless but it gives me a nice subtle shine and sheer colour. it also leaves my lips very moisturized. It's weird how people say it leaves the lip's dry;
I've never encountered any lip balm as non-greasy, hydrating and reasonably priced as the Pomegranate Burt's Bees Chap Stick.
I have some, but I hardly use it. I k now everyone is always saying how great it is, but it actually makes my lips feel MORE chapped at times. I don't really like the smell/taste either. I would not buy it again.
This stuff is okay. It leaves my lips dry after.
It has a tingle to it and I like that. I will probably not repurchase. I would like to try Kiehl's lip balm #1.
My previous post disappeared, so I'm writing it again!
I'm in the fence about this problem. I've heard great things about it from blogs and my friends, but I personally don't find it any better than any other drug store lip balm. Granted it does keep your lips moisturized and unchapped, but I don't know if I would spend a regular price on this! I got mine on sale at Shoppers..which was worth it to some extent. I don't think I would buy it again. I might try Kiehl's for higher brand next time, but Burts Bees isn't worth it for me.
Oh Burts Bees. You know burts bees is good if 1) your lips are healed in one day 2) your friends constantly steal it from you 3) you cry when you loose it. When the lip balm softly stings your lips you get excited cause you know that you're boyfriend will not regret kissing you tonight ;) JOOOKEESS. but not really. A burts bees :)
This is my favourite lip balm. I love that it is not at all greasy, and it goes on entirely invisable. I have had bad experiances with lip balm that go on extremly creamy and opacly white. This will never turn out like that. You can use lipstick or lip gloss on top of it, and not have to wory about it coming off or going into the lip gloss tube. It lasts, and keeps your lips hydrated. I would recommend this product to anybody, granted that they don't have sensative skin, as it does contain peppermint oil, which can be an irritant to some people. This is totally worth the price, and over all a great buy!
While most people seem to love this lipbalm...i was simply not impressed, It did nothing but make my lips feel greesy and gave me that grandma wants to be cool so she got the colour off skin tone lipstick. It was not a pretty sight, needless to say this is one lipbalm that sadly got filed under G for Garbage....
Sorry Burts bees
*xoxo*
I had a really bad reaction to this lip balm. My lips swelled up and bled. When I contacted the company, they claimed it must have been caused by something else, but that was the only thing I had used on my lips. The store where I purchased it reluctantly gave me my money back. Don't try it if you have dry, sensitive lips.
I love this stuff. I bought it this winter to help my lips survive the harsh dry weather, and it did wonders. It is very nourishing and very rich. The best part is that it lasts a long time on the lips.
Oh my. I bought burt's bees thinking it would be fabulous and natural and soothing to my lips. I was wrong. I did get the scrumptuous pomegranet flavour, but every time i applied the lip balm my lips would peel like crazy! Do you know those moments when you need lip balm desperately and your lips are so dry and it's driving you nuts? Well i often have those moments, and the worst thing to discover during one of these crisis is that the only lip balm you have in your purse is burt's bees. i dreaded putting it on soo much that i just tossed it and went for blistex instead, a much better choice.
