This product works great no brassy feeling doesn't leave your hair feeling dry and stiff doesn't have a harsh smell to it colored all of my grey;s my hair felt soft and manageable
I love the brass free version of this product. I have always found with hair dye (professional or at-home kits) that after a few washes it would start looking brassy, dull and fried. The brass-free version of this product is what my hair has been craving. It stops the brassiness my hair is prone to, it is not harsh on my fine, complexly textured hair (as is some is straight, some curly and some wavy/frizzy), it gives the right amount of colour, the shine is great and I find long lasting in comparison to other at-home kits, it is affordable and when on sale it can be a steal. Semi-permanent colour has been much kinder to my hair than permanent and I find lasts longer than the claim of 28 shampoos. If you are looking for an at-home hair dye I recommend you try this one, it is easy to apply and only takes 10 mins before you rinse out.
I got to try Clairol's new Natural Instincts 10 min with color fresh which I bought with a FPC. I was excited to use it as I needed to cover lots of grey hairs. I figured I'd spruce up my look right before Christmas. I was very pleased with the fragrance. No harsh chemical odors at all. I was pleased with the end results. The colour was nice, and it left my hair feeling smooth and silky. However, the dye kept running for several weeks after the initial colouring and in the process it stained two of my white towels. I was not happy. They should warn the consumer that this will likely happen once done. I would not recommend it to anyone unless you want to damage your linens.
I dyed my hair medium brown with this product, it worked great. Its cheap, easy, quick and long lasting. You get a lot for your money with this product as you get a small conditioner and a bonus color treatment which you apply 2 weeks after your color which keeps your hair looking fresh & newly done. I love this product.
I was really skeptical about this permanent hair color as it states the application is left in for only 10 minutes.I have tried these quick applications in the past and they have never completely covered my greys.I choose the toasted almond(medium blonde) and thought Id give it a chance.
Set up was super easy you just apply the tube mixture into the bottle mixture, shake and apply.I really loved the scent I have never tried a hair dye that smells this nice it reminded me of a banana scent.I timed my 10 minutes and rinsed and applied the conditioner that was included which was a nice sized bottle I should get a few more applications out of this conditioner.
I was surprised also included in the hair dye box was a pack of refresher that states it will add color pigments in the hair(to be used in 2 weeks after coloring hair) I cant wait to try this and see the results. What a great idea.
The best part is I am shocked beyond belief that in 10 minutes it completely covered my grey and left my hair a wonderful medium blond color. It feels super soft and silky and the smell is incredible. This will cut down the time of coloring my hair.In the past any other permanent hair coloring I have used have stated to leave in 25-40 minutes.
I found my new regular hair colour finally. It took ages to find just the right product and colour, and I'm so pleased I did. I love that there is minimal odour and mess, and the shade is fairly natural for a box hair colour. The only downside is the two week refresher isn't really effective.
I got a lot of compliments for using this semi-permanent dye. I have black hair and dyed it a dark espresso-y brown (I forgot the exact shade name, sorry!). It made my hair look natural but it had this rich, beautiful tone to it. The best part is it's not permanent, so I can experiment with different hues after about a month or so! :) I think I'm going to try the jet-black or blue-black shades next and see if that complements my skin tone at all.
Natural instincts is my most purchased hair dye. it works well & the colour stays nice for a long time. I like to try new ones, especially when they are on sale but i like this brand mostly. it's quick and easy to do.
I purchased this at Shoppers Drug Mart for $8.99 regular $12.99 (It might be more expensive at Shoppers since their pricing sucks unless it is a sale)
This color is in 36 Midnight Black

*2 Week Color Fresh Revitalizer

The ammonia free was one of my favorite things about this, I absolutely hate the smell of hair dye. As well I always find the ammonia more damaging and if you dye your hair once a month it is probably best to use ammonia free anyways.
So it has the same kinda stuff as every box dye, except the color fresh and an extra pair of gloves when you apply it.
The color fresh comes in a packet that seems like shampoo, you just apply it to your hair wearing the gloves, let it sit for 5 minutes and rinse out.( I haven't tried that yet but I will update this when I do)
This was a very nice thick cream dye, I didn't have any problems with dripping like I did with my last dye I tried. The smell was hardly there! As well the color turned out so dark I was very happy with it.
I really enjoyed the 10 minute wait time rather then the usual 45, I just cleaned up my mess and it was ready to rinse out.
I did just dye my hair this weekend so I will have to see how the fading goes. The last color I used was a purpley color that faded so terrible it made my roots look red. It was not pretty. This covered it up so nicely!
I also didn't get the feeling of straw hair once I was finished. The conditioner was decent, I did use some but I also used my K-Pak Joico with it to make sure I was getting all the moisture I could.
I would for sure recommend this product as well as repurchase it.
Excellent gray coverage, quick dye time, only wish there was more color variety such as plums or burgandies.
