Love the colors. so easy best box hair dye. does littlle damage to my hair (or so my hair dresser tells me), very natural color. I have used many shade i have never had a problem the color comes out shinning and radiant i love this product. Saves a ton of money hetting my hair done.
I started having my hair semi permanently dyed by a professional 3 years ago. I have very thick hair and I was finding that the red dye they used would wash out after 3-4 weeks and it was costing me $60 to have it dyed, and I just can't afford that.
One box of #16 and my hair (which is naturally a light brown) becomes a sexy bright red for up to 3 months, washing every other day with warm water & colour treat shampoo.
I've also used #20R and #22 before, both of which made my hair almost purple (which was cool while it lasted)
This product is almost always on sale at Shoppers Drug Mart, so stock up when they have it for $6.99 ladies!
My hair prior to using Natural Instincts was:
Virgin (no colour in 5 years), passed my shoulders, brown/black, coarse and frizzy.
Objection: To obtain richness, shine and add depth to my natural hair colour. Plus - no permanent colour!
Results: WOW... I went one shade darker (used Midnight Black) and it not only intensified the colour, it made my hair soft - no frizzies, no dryness. Right away, I noticed a dramatic difference in shine (imagine using a hard core gloss... that stays). I received soooo many compliments... and for the next 20-24 washes I expect the same!
Remember, this product does not lift colour... so if you're looking to go lighter or have a dramatic shade, this isn't for you. But, if you're like me... this will work AMAZINGLY!!!
I have always coloured my hair with permanent colours, and since I am naturally blonde, and my hair grows quite fast, I always had a problem with roots when i dyed my hair dark brown. Nothing, not even salons could cover the roots properly, and every single time I dyed my hair it has such a red undertone that I looked like a ginger, not a brunette. I finally decided to get some blonde streaks to cover the roots, and they looked good for a while, but then the sun started to bleach them yellow. So with yellow on top and a faded out brownish-red on the bottom, i decided I needed a hair colour change.
I didnt want roots again, and my friend had been using and saying how well Clairol Natural Instincts works, so I decided to give it a go. I wanted to go back to brown, so I picked up one called "Suede" which is a light-medium brown.
This colour is amazing ! It covered all of the blonde, all of the faded out brownish-red, and all my roots, turned out in a very even tone, and no red whatsoever !
The dye and the conditioner both smell good, and the conditioner makes hair sooo soft ! It's also very helpful that it takes only ten minutes to develop, which saves a lot of time .
I will definitely be buying this again, and recommending it to my friends :)
I highly recommend this brand of dye as this past weekend we decided to streak my hair, and then put in a carmel brown colour. Well lets just say it wasn't carmel brown it turned out like a strawberry blonde. We tried another dye which was a medium and that do didn't work it changed it red. I then decided to try a different brand which I picked Clairol well I was so happy with the outcome and how fast the product took was amazing only 10 minutes and my hair looked great. Thanks Clairol for such a great product.
Okay, so you want to change your hair colour, but you don't want to go permanent? Then I suggest Clairol Natural Instincts. I started dying my hair first with these products and they are really great. The conditioner that comes with it smells amazing and gives my hair a nice soft feel and look. They wash out gradually over six weeks, depending on how much you wash your hair. I've used so many different colours too, and they all turn out fantastic! So if you want to change your colour for more than two weeks, but not permanently, then you should try these. There are lots of shades to choose from.
