Great chocolate, awful pairing

This was one of the worst chocolates I've tasted in my life. The chocolate is great in quality and taste, like all of of the Lindt's brand, but the pink peppermint ruined it all for me, it does not taste good, I was only able to eat a small part of it, after that I tried to do different things to get the awful taste out of my mouth.

But that's my personal taste, maybe you'll enjoy it. Though I would never recommend that no anyone, not will ever buy it again.

I May Be Obsessed...

I have been buying Lindt Excellence chocolates for over a decade now and always love to try any new flavour they release. I don't have much of a sweet tooth and like anything sweet to be balanced with some bitterness, saltiness or spices. For several years now my favourite flavour from the Excellence selection had been Chili... but it is now coming in second. The Pink Peppercorn is certainly less 'accessible' than others and won't be for everyone, but I for one am in love. Must be going through my 15th or 20th bar since flavour launched where I live about 3 months ago. I love crunching into these little peppery balls. I love the texture they add as well as the fact that two bites can be totally different wether you happen to bite into a piece that had peppercorn in it or not. I think Pink Peppercorn is a very interesting, dare-to-be-different addition to the selection. Not everyone will like it, but I love it.

J'achète des barres Lindt Excellence depuis plus de 10 ans et aime toujours découvrir les nouvelles saveurs. Je n'ai pas la dent particulièrement sucrée et aime balancer le sucré avec un peu d'amertume, de salé ou d'épicé. Depuis quelques années, ma saveur préférée était Piment Rouge... mais il est passé deuxième. La saveur Poivre Rose est certainement moins accessible que d'autres et ne plaira pas à tout le monde, mais pour ma part je suis conquise. Je dois en être à ma 15e ou 20e barre depuis son lancement dans ma région il y a environ 3 mois. J'adore croquer dans les petits grains de poivre. J'aime la texture qu'ils apportent et le fait que deux bouchées peuvent être très différentes selon que la section du carré cachait des grains ou non. Selon moi, Poivre Rose est une addition intéressante et qui risque la différence. Elle ne plaira pas à tous, mais je crois que d'autres, comme moi, l'adoreront.

Peppercorn + Chocolate? Not For Me.

I purchased this chocolate bar because it was a new flavour and I didn't really think about whether I liked pink peppercorn as a flavour. I did not like it!

The chocolate is great, regular smooth Lindt dark chocolate. And then suddenly you bite into a whole pink peppercorn and it ruins the taste of the chocolate. If you like eating whole peppercorns, I imagine you'll love this. I might try baking with the rest of the bar and maybe that's what this is really for given that it's 47% dark chocolate and peppercorn.
