I received the L'Oreal Professionnel Intense Repair Shampoo to test and add my review, here are my thoughts. Firstly the smell is great, very "salon", nothing to cloying or fruity sweet. The consistency is lovely but I found it didn't lather well. I have colour treated hair and I found that this product really did nothing to maintain my colour and I would say my few grays came through much quicker than if I had been using my "usual" shampoo. I also found my hair to be much drier, it really did nothing extraordinary in terms of conditioning or smoothing my hair. I also found my scalp seemed quite itchy after use, not sure if this is related to the shampoo or is simply a symtom of our drier indoor climates this Winter. All in all, I would not recommed this product, I don't think it works all that well and I was shocked to learn of it's retail price. I think I could find better drugstore solutions.

I was very excited to try this product when it came in the mail! My first impression was that I was a bit disappointed with the packaging, it looks a bit cheap with the plastic grey cap. It smells like melon which is alright but I've been using it for a week now and I think I am getting sick of it. It lathers quite nicely and a little goes a long way. My hair feels smooth after I rinse it and not as dry as it usually does. I don't know how much this product costs so I only gave it an average rating. I don't think I will seek out to buy this product.

Meh. I wouldn't buy it again. I too have very long hair, and the size of the bottles they are selling simply doesn't cut it. The product however works fine, but thats all , fine. Its not worth the cost- Thank you!

I received the L'Oreal Professionel Intense Repair Shampoo as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club, and have been using the product for a couple of weeks. While the smell is pleasant, I found the shampoo left my hair dry and coarse. It's rather unfortunate as the product was supposed to leave my hair soft and moisturized, not dry and feeling brittle. The only way to combat this was to use the accompanying masque or a heavy duty conditioner to add some moisture back. The shampoo is not inexpensive and would not be something that most women would regularly stock in their bathrooms. As much as I would have liked to have liked the product, I found it stripped my hair of moisture and did not deliver the intense repair that it claimed. Sorry, L'Oreal, but I will give this product a pass.

I received this shampoo from the Product Review Club. I thought this product had a good texture, wasn't too thick or runny, and it had a nice lather to it. The scent reminds me of pumpkin, which is pretty nice and light not overpowering. It left my hair feeling clean and it was easy to rinse in the shower. Once my hair dried, it felt quite soft and there was still a faint scent to it which I liked. It was pretty good at moisturizing my extremely dry hair. However, I do find that it is a bit expensive and especially so considering the size of the bottle. I'm not sure I would buy this again-- maybe just for the winter months!

I used the shampoo for a week. It smells ok and works well. I used it with the masque and I think that was what really helped moisturize my hair.
It comes in a cool shaped bottle but the color of the bottle is lacking.
It smells like perfumed banana to me.
It's too expensive for my taste but if I was desperate to fix my damaged hair I might buy it.

I didn't notice any difference to my curly hair while using this product. It doesn't seem to worth the price for me because of no results. I actually like my usual shampoo better. The smell is not that great either, not something I actually like, but I can stand it. It lathers well, but I definitely couldn't just use the shampoo without a condition or the masque that came with it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I generally use L'Oreal shampoos and conditioners, and a L'Oreal masque too...but the ones you can get at Shoppers Drug Mart, and I already think they're pretty good. I thought this "expert" shampoo and masque were as good as those, but not so much better as to be worth such a higher price.
After using them for a week, here are my thoughts: I thought the shampoo lathered well, smelled nice (although not wonderful), and rinsed clean. The masque distributed easily throughout my hair. My hair feels soft and smooth when it's dry. My long hair is not weighed down. My hair is also coloured so I worry about tangles and brittle ends, but this left my hair feeling healthy.
The instructions for the masque say to apply it to towel dried hair, which I think is unrealistic. I am not going to get out of the shower, towel dry my hair, and then get back in. So I just squeezed out as much water as possible before applying it.
So, it's really more of a "Sure" than a "You Betcha!" but I thought it was a good enough product, if the price was right.

I received it at the beginning of February - perfect, it was time for a little treatment! I tend to be rough with my hair - I dye it and straighten it more than I should. To this day, I've tried it three times.

I don't have much to say about the shampoo - the texture was normal and so was the smell. I followed the instructions and when I rinced my hair, it was a mess of knots. I didn't see a big difference with other shampoos I've tried before.

I do recommend this product, but combined with the masque. I did saw a difference with my hair - it was so smooth and soft. However, I'm not sure this product alone will give you the results you are waiting for and it cost between 20 and 30$. If you are on a budget or something and can't afford to buy both products (the shampoo and the masque), I would recommend you to get the masque first. I think the result will be more satisfying if you use both, but I also think that the masque was more effective than the shampoo.

I have thick, short, dry, wavy hair and I tend to lean towards shampoos that will clean but not weigh my hair down.

Pros: nice smell, a little like watermelon/coconut, easy to open bottle, product comes out easily and is easy to distribute through hair.

Cons: my hair had a lot static after use and flattened out quickly, couldn't read the blacked out ingredient on the label which bothered me, the smell doesn't stay in hair and after first sniff in bottle, it smells a little like chemicals. Too small and expensive. Doesn't work well on colored hair.

I haven't tried the masque yet because you have to wash and air dry your hair, then use the masque then rinse, which can be time consuming. The masque also has the blacked out ingredient, if it's an ingredient they don't use anymore, they should change the label otherwise it looks bad like they are hiding something, which isn't a good feeling when testing a product.

I don't think I would buy this due to the size and price.
