Great Throwback Party Game

I love most things 80s and 90s - especially music! So, I was really excited for this MTV Game, The Music Throwback Party Quiz Board Game. It's pretty simple to play and interesting, but, sadly, it didn't hold our attention for long. Our favorite part was the buzzer rounds though since we're all pretty competitive. Overall, it was fun to play, but difficult to play with a variety of ages with varying knowledge of music eras.

Fun, but the rules could be more clear

When we had our family reunion, we played the MTV Game, The Music Throwback Party Quiz Board Game! I was able to test it for free for Family Rated Club to review it. It is fun, but hard! We had to change up the rules a bit and gave ourselves more time to guess. Some parts of the rules were unclear, but we made it up and it was still fun. There are a bunch of categories to guess song titles or people, but I suggest you study up! It's basically music trivia.

Fun game

The MTV Throwback Music Party Game is so fun! I loved testing out my band and song knowledge of the '80s, '90s, and '00s. First, you go head to head battling to see who can think of the most song titles containing a specific word. Then, you try to get your partner to guess a band/singer based on clues consisting of one word, lyrics, or performing the song. I can't wait to play this game again!

Fun Group game!

It's a little bit Family Feud, a little bit Cranium, and a little bit Trivial Pursuit. So if you like those games and love music, you'll probably enjoy the MTV game too! Looking forward to COVID being over so that we can play this with people other than our teenaged children who have a very different mental music library than their parents :) We enjoyed this and will definitely play it again.
