    Amazing Sunscreen

I had the chance to try the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Sunscreen thanks to ChickAdvisor. The texture is similar to their gel cream which I love and it was easy to apply. The smell was also pleasant and not irritating. It is slowly becoming one of my favourite sunscreens and I love how it contains a higher SPF rating!

    Good SPF But Little Greasy

I got this from chickadvisor or reviewing purposes. This is a really nice spf to protect your face. It moisturizes a little bit but I reccomend you wearing a moisturizer underneath. This face sunscreen is pretty greasy even though it claims it’s non oily. I took a napkin and dabbed the oil off, then it was fine. I didn’t try it under makeup because I felt it to be to greasy. I’m not sure if it was my skin acting up or if it was the product. It didn’t break me out which is a plus. It’s nice if you were going to a pool or lake for the day. It sinks into the skin nicely and the only thing left is the oily residue.

    Light but effective sunscreen

I received the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen SPF 50 for free thanks to ChickAdvisor.

A big concern I have with wearing sunscreen with my oily skin is that they're typically quite thick and cause my skin to become even more oily as well as causing breakouts. I've also recently switched to using night treatments with glycolic acid so it is vital that I protect my skin with SPF and I am so glad that I was able to try out this sunscreen! This sunscreen might be my new holy grail!

The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen is much lighter than other sunscreens I've tried, including facial sunscreens. It comes out like a light cream, despite being called a "water gel" it is still a sunscreen so it won't a complete gel-like consistency. It has a light, fresh scent, similar to that of the gel cream moisturizer with an ever so slight hint of a "sunscreen smell". And it has an SPF of 50!!! So awesome!

It does take a few minutes to absorb into the skin (~5 minutes to absorb completely, after applying the Hydro Boost Gel Cream) and actually leaves my skin looking somewhat matte. It also performs similarly to the Hydro Boost Gel Cream in that it also hydrates my skin, leaving it smooth and soft without feeling heavy or greasy. I also did not notice any white overcast that other sunscreens typically leave. It wears pretty well under makeup but I would advise that you wait for the sunscreen to completely absorb into the skin prior to applying any primers. I found that if I applied a primer too skin, the sunscreen would sort of "ball up" and little bits would roll off with the primer. As I just mentioned, it does wear pretty well under makeup. My skin gets oily after about 4-5h, which is typical for me, so the sunscreen doesn't seem to have any major negative effects on my makeup. One small thing that I did notice is that sometimes my makeup would "thicker" than usual on more humid days - perhaps due to the sunscreen. I will have to see how this sunscreen wears under makeup when the hot, humid summer weather comes. I did not get the chance to see how this sunscreen performs under flash photography - I will try that in the future.

I have not tried this on my body yet but I assume that it would work even better on my body since the skin on my body is not oily like the skin on my face.

This sunscreen retails for $15.99, which may seem pricier in comparison to other sunscreens where you may get more product. However, for me, I believe this sunscreen is definitely worth the price since a little goes quite a long way and it acts as a moisturizer with added sun protection. It leaves the skin looking and feeling smooth and soft without the white overcast and sunscreen smell. Not only does the Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen protect your skin from the sun, it also has added benefits to your skin, which many cheaper sunscreens on the market do not offer.

Overall, I am loving this sunscreen so far! It acts almost as a second moisturizer with added sun protection. It smells great, absorbs pretty quickly without making my skin feel super greasy. I would definitely recommend this product!

perfect for my sun sensitive skin

I received this product for free from ChickAdvisor to test out and review. I finally got to test out this product a couple of days ago when it was warm and sunny. I have porcelain skin that burns super easily so sunscreen is a must for me. I love how this sunscreen feels light on my skin and does not feel greasy at all. I think the price is average for it's quality. The scent is way better than the sunscreen that I normally use. I'm happy that this sunscreen I received is SPF 50. Can't wait to bring this on vacation with me soon!

    Non greasy sun protection!

I was quite surprised by how great this sunscreen felt during application and while wearing. It was very easy to apply and didnt feel sticky or greasy. It dried very fast so i could get dressed almost immediately after i put it on. I enjoyed that it didn't smell strong like other sunscreens as well so i will definitely be purchasing this in the future

#gotitfree Thank you Neutrogena & Chick Advisor for letting me try Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen

    No greasy feeling!

I usually don't wear sunscreen because they leave my skin sticky and greasy, and I hate the feeling and smell of it. I was pleasantly surprised by the smell of this Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen. It still smells a little like sunscreen (I'm guessing the active ingredient in sunscreen pretty much smells all the same), but the smell is still pleasant and not aggressive like most sunscreen lotions.
I also really like the feel of my skin after applying the sunscreen. The product is quickly absorbed by the skin, and it doesn't feel greasy or shiny at all afterwards, I really liked using it on my face as well. It stays mate and it doesn't look like you are wearing sunscreen at all.
A good product that I would recommend to anybody looking to look good while protecting your skin from UVA and UVB rays.
Thanks to Neutrogena and ChickAdvisor for choosing me to try this product.

    Lightweight and Non-Greasy

I received the Neutrogena Hydro Boost water Gel Sunscreen for free thanks to ChickAdvisor. Unfortunately due to the cold climate here lately I didn't get to test it too much but luckily it's been warm this week and I finally got to break it out! I wasn't sure what to expect as I've never tried Neutrogena sunscreen before and I'm generally very weary about trying new sunscreens as I have very light and sensitive skin and I hate sunscreens that are too thick or go on too greasy. This product really exceeded my expectations though and I'm very happy with it!

It goes on super light and isn't greasy which is amazing and its packaging makes it very easy to use and apply. It lasted the whole day in the sun and at SPF 50 provided excellent protection. At $15.99, it's a little pricey but I would definitely pick it up if I saw it on sale!

    Lightweight, invisible and smells great!

I haven't had many chances to test it so far (it has been a cold spring), but I wore it out a couple of times and and have to say I quite like it. It's very lightweight and runnier than I'm used to, but that makes it great to use under make up. It's completely invisible! It's weightless and makes my skin feel great - no dryness or excessive greasiness! I also love the scent - it smells like summer! :) Can't wait to test it on the beach!
