We received our trial (full size) bag and wondered wether our very, very picky cat would even try it. She loves it!!!!! In the past 10 days we've noticed a gradual change in litter box -- less smell and less to actually clean out even though she is eating more -- and she seems to be shedding a wee bit less with a softer feeling coat.
As long as she continues to eat this food we will keep her on it!
I received this for free from ChickAdvisor and was sent the Fraser Valley formula for cats.
My cat is 17 years old, but you would never guess that from how he acts! He pretty much loves any type of cat food with chicken in it. As he has gotten older, he has developed allergies. We thought it might be from grains, so trying this grain free food was an opportunity I didn't want to turn down.
The ingredients are amazing, and he especially loved the freeze dried meat. However when I was mixing it with his old food, he would pick out his old food and only eat that. Then once we gave him only Fraser Valley, he didn't really want anything to do with it, besides the freeze dried pieces
I've also noticed he is licking his paws a lot more, and his eyes are really watery. Which I assume means he is having an allergic reaction to something.
I really wish this food would have worked better for him because it is great quality and filled with real products, and not by-products or fillers.
My cats loved the freeze dried pieces mixed in with the kibble.. However.. Treated themselves only with those pieces and often left the kibble behind. Eventually they came back for the kibble, but usually just grazed over a long period of time.
Received the 5lb bag of Nutrience Sub Zero Fraser Valley free from Chick Advisor.Followed the instructions to gradually introduce this new food with their old food over a week.I have 3 cats,The 2 boys always enjoy dry food but the girl cat never eats it,While she really liked this new food from Nutrience and eats it every morning now and the boys also enjoyed it daily. It is a little pricey. The only complaint I have is that it is really hard to read the list of ingredients. They are white on a orange background. aIso like that it is grain-free
I received the CAT Prairie Red Formula to try and I was very impressed by the quality of the ingredients ! I It is very important to me that I feed my three cats real ingredients made in Canada , And this fits the bill. 2 of my three cats were thrilled with the taste but unfortunately I have a finicky third cat that wanted nothing to do with it . She actually picked her old food out of the bowl and left the Nutrience brand untouched . I am thinking of maybe the chicken variety instead might suit her needs ! I think I will try it out as I would love to switch all mine to this brand ! Does the company offer trial packs ?
I forget to mention the size of the kibble is perfect for little kitten mouths . I find sometimes other brands are too big for my little girl to chew !
I have five cats, three who can (and will) eat pretty much anything and two who puke up anything that isn't their regular brand of food, so I was hesitant to try this product. Their current food is a fairly expensive, grain-free brand, made from a blend of locally sourced chicken and fish.
Because I was worried it might lead to upset tummies and unpleasant surprises, I put the Nutrience food in only one of the two food bowls that we have out, in the hopes that doing so would help minimize the mess.
To my surprise, there was no mess, no upset tummies, and everyone seemed to enjoy the flavor. The packaging was sturdy, the food seemed fresh and didn't smell any better or worse than our usual brand.
According to a few websites I checked, the Nutrience Grain Free SubZero retials for less than my usual brand, but it's not on the shelves at my local pet store, so I won't be changing brands just yet. Our local store has a customer loyalty program that gives us access to coupons, occasional sales and a free bag of food for every ten purchases, so I don't want to change retailers. Hopefully, this product will soon be on the shelves at my local pet store.
We tested the Fraser Valley cat food. I tend to look for food with natural ingredients and no by-products or grain fillers. I was surprised at the quantity listed to feed my cats. After trying the guidelines a few adjustments were made but it is a very dense food and they don't need as much as they did from their previous food. The kibble is nice and small which is great for my senior cat.
Litter box odours and amounts were less than their previous food even considering they are eating less but they seem to be digesting this food easier and better.
I have noticed their fur looks shinier and healthier and they seemed to have more energy during play time.
After seeing how my fur babies look and enjoy this food, I will continue feeding them SubZero.
When I received the Nutrience Grian Free subzero (Prairie Red), my cat gone crazy. I gave it some of the food like a treat to know if it would like it. First impression, my cat seems to love that food... The next morning my boyfriend gave only that food to my cat... it did not eat the whole day. I had to put some ''paté'' in it food... well... we mixed the nutrience food with is regular food and now it eat. The coat of my cat is very soft and ''silky''. it seem to have more energy and be happy to eat!
