Stay away its not as advertised.

I tried this Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation. I must say I was expected a lot from this product. The foundation is okay. When I first started to use this product it would go on smooth and near the end of the foundation being almost done it would start to cake and not go on smooth. It also would easily come off just from touching my face. I don't recommend this product if you aren't adding a finishing powder on top of the foundation and it will come off easily when you don't want it too. I will not be purchasing this product again as you do need to use more than this product to get the look you really want from a foundation.

    Great matte look

This product is amazing for oily skin. The matte look means I can skip the power after foundation. The colour matches great with lots of options for different complexions.

This is great for me in the summer and when I need to cover up a lot of discolouration

    It’s ok.....

I went to the drugstore to find a foundation and ended up trying this. I personally found this foundation very dry and decently thick on my skin. It did stay matte for a while but I didn’t like how dry it made my skin feel. I think it’d be a better foundation for someone with very oily skin

    it was not for me

t is very heavy, the tones are lighter from the romal and dries very fast. It stays matt throughout the day and prevents the shine but being so heavy does not look natural.

    I could do better

The quality was too thick. I just need it for spot coverage but it's to hard to blend. The color seems a little off. Seems like regular low cost drugstore makeup.

    Great foundation

This foundation has great coverage and is easy to apply. It feels very light and looks flawless. This is my new favorite foundation. No need for concealer except for very red spots.

    Some flaws

This mousse foundation has me in two minds. There are some pros to it for sure, but also many cons. In that regard, I feel like it wouldn't be a foundation I would buy again, but might work better for a young person with better quality skin.

First, let's talk about the colour. The colour I ended up with 'Soft Beige' was actually far too dark for me. Normally I wear porcelain or fair, but I previously tried a soft beige foundation that was only slightly darker than my skin. This one was quite a bit darker, so I assume most of the shades in this range run dark. More than running dark, it has a very orangey tint/base to it that makes it look quite 'fake' when it's on.

When you first apply the foundation, the texture is very moussey, soft and light and in that way it feels quite comfortable on the skin, but at the same time it takes a ton of product to build up a layer. That means it kind of feels heavy, like a mask, so while the texture is comfortable, the amount of product needed, is not, if that makes sense? Because it's so heavy and you need so much product, it's a real struggle to get this to blend well and that merely adds to the 'mask' like appearance. You better be sure to get the right shade, because if not you are going to look pretty insane if you don't blend well enough and very far down on your neck.

This foundation did an amazing job covering up some flaws, like my large pores and I'd describe it as on the heavy side of a medium coverage foundation. Unfortunately, some flaws really show up under this foundation. For example, it made my wrinkles stand out a ton! So I definitely would not recommend this for older ladies. I'm only 32 with slight under-eye wrinkles, but the foundation's stiffness meant the wrinkles were a lot more visible after putting it on. It also has a tendency to cling to dry bits of skin really badly, so if you have dry or combination skin, I'd avoid this. It also has kind of an odd smell.

Because of how difficult it is to blend and move around, it stays really well and will last your workday easily, but this also means it's so difficult to get off. If you tend to only use micellar water as a makeup remover (like me) that won't work here. You'll need a heavy duty waterproof makeup remover to even touch this stuff. For example, when I got some on the tube, it smeared and won't wash off with water and soap. So try your best to be neat and make sure you have a good remover on hand.

Overall, I feel this is a good option for those with mid dark skin-tones (olives etc) who have flawless skin and are looking for a long-lasting heavy coverage foundation. For us mere mortals, I wouldn't recommend it.

I will never buy this again

This foundation's consistency is very thick and I did not like how it feels on my skin. After I applied this on my skin it did not feel very smooth instead it felt sticky. However, it does have a good matte finish and the shade that I bought perfectly suited my skin. I do not recommend this foundation to people with dry skin, as it can dry out the skin even more.

    Preferred Drug Store Full Coverage!

This is my go-to when it comes to full coverage and drug store foundations. I was liking the Maybelline Fit Me matte, but that one has little to no coverage compared to this product! I love the mousse. It goes smoothly onto my skin, getting rid of any scars from acne!

The only downside is that you can easily use too much (so back to the good-a little goes a LONG ways) If you use too much it can easily look caked on.

Another downside (I don't have this problem because I am already aware but for those that do not know this is very nice to know before purchasing this product) is that contour sticks are very difficult to blend. I use a liquid concealer to contour, and a powder. You do NOT need any facial powder besides the contour powder and banana powder for your face! But if you are used to regular drug store quality, you are going to want to use a LOT LESS of each of your products with this foundations because like I had mentioned "a little goes a long ways"!

Aside from that, If you have read my review and you are already prepared and want to purchase after given those downsides, GO FOR IT! You won't regret it! It is sold at an amazing price too!

Not too bad for the price!

I bought this just because I prefer matte over glossy and it was a decent price; I ended up loving it and it’s my “go-to” foundation. It feels nice on my skin and looks lovely; not too cakey. I’ve been using this product for about a year.
