My step-mom recommended this product for our older washing machine after I complained it smelled musty and damp even after I had cleaned it with baking soda and vinegar and left the lid open to dry out.
The price was ok - not a necessity in my weekly grocery shop but didn't put my regular bill over the edge.

Instructions were clear and the product was simple to use.
I have noticed that the washing machine smells fresh and clean, I didn't notice a visible difference in sight within the machine. Still looks the same as before.
Machine I used it in was a topload.

Stinky washing machine? Toss this stuff in and WHOA that machine will be a sparklin' and smelling fresher than fresh!

Note- This product is very strong odor wise - do open a couple of windows or vacate the level of the home the laundry room is located in, just to save your nostrils.

I have been curious about this washing machine cleaner since seeing the commercials.I do lots of laundry and want my clothes and linens to be fresh and clean.I have used the scent boosters and they are really good but this just seems to do a more theory job of getting rid of odors in the washing machine. It also gets rid of mildew buildup really well that can collect on the rubber gasket at the bottom of the door of the washing machine.

My washer was starting to get a funky smell from clothes that I had done heavy yard work in,clothes from the going to the lake, and canning and preserving heavy smelling ingredients like garlic etc. This cleared up the odors with the first use.It says to use monthly which I will continue to use.I have been trying homemade recipes in the past that just didn't do the job as well as this Tide cleaner. There is just something satisfying as well to know you have a clean washing machine after all you put your clothes in there to clean them so why wouldn't you want to clean your washing machine.

Who washes their washing machine, right? I occasionally would run an empty load with some vinegar or whatever reasonably eco-friendly DIY option to freshen things up because I have a high efficiency front loading machine, and those rubber seals can get kind of manky-smelling after a while. However, I found that it never really made that much of a difference, and instead just frequently wiped down the rubber parts and entire interior with a Lysol disinfecting wipe. Other than the slight mildewy smell, I didn't really give it much thought.

This week I found the Tide Washing Machine Cleaner on sale at my local grocery store and thought I'd give it a whirl. My washer is so sparkling clean and fresh that I cannot believe the difference it made! You are supposed to do this every month, which I'm not sure I will necessarily keep up with because we have a septic system and well water (and I don't want to put any more chemicals in the soil than I absolutely have to).

However, for spring/fall cleaning purposes I will definitely use this again. I feel better about the overall cleanliness of my laundry now that my machine has been freshened up. Super easy to use - just tear open the pouch and pour into the detergent drawer (sprinkle into the drum if you're using a top loader) and allow to run a "regular" cycle on Hot. That's it!
