Convenient way to get groceries

I just received my Voila by Sobeys groceries. The service was convenient - especially being a mom during a pandemic. The driver called me 10 minutes before she arrived to make sure I was home and if there were any special delivery instructions, which was nice. I had a bit of an issue on the website using the voucher codes I had been given but eventually they worked after contacting customer support a few times. Everyone was very friendly. The website was easy to use and there were lots of slots for delivery. Prices are comparable to in store. Some of the items I wanted were sold out. The products were fresh and the driver asked if I wanted to check them for quality. They were bagged nicely. I would use this service again in the future and recommend it to others.

Loved it

I was a bit skeptical on grocery delivery services (especially when it comes to produce) but I tried it out and didn't regret it.
Voila made it easy and convenient for me to pick out my groceries and choose a time to have them delivered. They showed up within the specified window and everything was there and in good condition. The delivery person called me twice to keep me updated.
I would order from them again. I even managed to find several things on sale.

Wow amazing

This was a great experience. It was nice I could order from Sobeys and Farm Boy. There was a great selection of gluten free items. The only disappointment was there was no fresh Halal meat only processed. You could get most flyer sales from Sobeys and Farm Boy. There was also flash sale items on the website
The driver arrived on time even called ahead and said I will be there in 15 minutes. He was very friendly and explained everything. Including that the bags with the green handles means they are for fridge or freezer (this is a great idea). He checked the eggs to make sure none where broken. He explained that Sobeys will take there bags and any grocery bag and recycle them
It was a fantastic experience and will be ordering again

My groceries delivered. Voilà, just like that!
Pre-ordered my groceries from @Voila.ca and they were delievered this morning right on time!
Using the site is pretty easy to navigate through. They also have options to order from Farm Boy, Chalo! FreshCo, Compliments, and Well.ca. There's always a variety of sales and produce is picked fresh just for you!
This service is perfect for a busy mommy like me, who has so many errands to complete everyday! It's one thing done off the list with no effort at all. I love the fact that they have an international section so I can find some of my Caribbean brands that I usually purchase.
You get to select a time slot to expect your order to be delivered. Once you're all ready to check your cart out, just add your preferred payment method. There's a standard $7.99 delivery fee which is absolutely reasonable for the convenience!

Great delivery service!

Since the beginning of COVID-19, I got more into grocery delivery. Why I didn't do this sooner is beyond me. I can order groceries and stay home in my PJs! Sobeys just introduced Voila and I received a discount code to try it out thanks to ChickAdvisor.

Sobeys website was easy to use, and I found everything I needed quickly. I will say that Sobeys in general is more expensive than some grocery stores, and the $7.99 delivery fee just adds to the prices. However - you get what you pay for. My produce was top notch and the delivery driver was super polite and followed all PPE protocol. If I'm in a pinch for groceries, I would order again - otherwise, I might order through somewhere else to save money.

Great service but a bit pricey

I tried out Voila by Sobey's for the first time as I received an incentive to try from Chick Advisor. Placing my order was easy and there were many timeslots to choose from for delivery. The ordering process went smoothly and my delivery person phoned to see if I'd like it earlier than scheduled which did work for my schedule. The delivery person was very polite and even took the time to tell me about the process of getting my groceries to me. I was very impressed to learn that they temperature check all the food before delivering to ensure safety! Everything I ordered arrived with no substitutions. My only complaint is the cost of the food. Sobey's tends to be on the pricier side, so it isn't as cost effective as some other similar services, but the fact that they have so many open delivery slots would compel me to use this service again if I needed something ASAP.

Using the website was easy, it was my first time on it. My intention for my haul was to fill my pantry with canned and dry goods. It was easy to order and to make sure the quantity of each product was what I wanted. I must add that some fresh items weren’t available for me to order but that’s ok with me since that wasn’t what I was looking for. The selection was great, there was even international brands (i.e. Ahmad tea, my favourite!) available for purchase so I was a happy camper. I selected a time slot, put items in my cart, paid with credit card and BAM, you’re ready to go.

I had selected delivery for the next morning. My delivery man called me ten minutes before the 7am timeslot I requested saying he was near and wanted to let me know to be ready for the order. I really appreciated this and was pleasantly surprised. I chose this timeslot so I can get my order before going into work so this worked out perfectly. Who can complain about open communication? Not I! By the way, the delivery guys were wearing PPE and had great attitudes, I love that!

Everything was wrapped and food safety was definitely considered. I had ordered a box of hair dye and it was in one of those clear plastic bags which I appreciated. There was no contamination between the food and beauty products I ordered. I had ordered a couple bags of frozen veggies and boxes of waffles and they were still cold like they were fresh from the freezer. I appreciated this because who wants lukewarm frozen grocery products?

I reuse plastic bags so this doesn’t bother me. Especially during this pandemic era, I rather items be in a plastic bag so to make sure there isn’t contamination.

Overall, I enjoyed and liked this service. The $7.99 delivery fee is acceptable and worth it. This is great for the single person, for the parent who needs support or even the older population who can’t go outside during this time to public places. I think we should all try out this service and support the expansion of grocery services in our local areas. Thank you Voila by Sobeys for such a seamless experience between putting in my order in less than 24 hours and receiving it to my door first thing in the morning. The customer service was perfection and I wish this service nothing but the best.

Great quality products

Please note that I received a discount as part of a Product Review Club offer. That being said I intended to try them anyway as I already use Walmart, Metro and Insta Cart for delivery.
In terms of delivery fee they are on the lower end of competitors at $7.99 which is extremely reasonable for a delivery charge. Having my groceries delivered saves me at least an hour of my time not to mention the aggravation of shopping in person.
I love that I can buy products from Farm Boy, Sobeys and Freshco but I think selection is much too limited and I wasn't able to get everything I needed for my weekly shop which resulted in a trip to the store in person to pick up items not available. Definitely defeats the purpose of having my groceries delivered.
Produce selection is seriously lacking but the produce I have received is top quality. Same with fruit. Poor selection, great quality.
Other products are not available and I would have expected to find more items available that are also in store.
Hopefully they tweak product availability and allow me to shop off the flyers to get more items that are on sale as do other grocery stores that offer delivery.

Overall good, but items out of stock

Overall I would say this service is excellent if items are in stock. Items would go in and out of stock when I was trying to place my order which was frustrating as I had to keep checking the website . Delivery was excellent and very polite in comparison to competitors. Would use again if the delivery fee wasn't so high

Good in theory

While the products received were packaged cleanly, a lot of the fresh produce was unavailable for purchase each of the times I logged on to order. I also found the system of organization for online shopping to be difficult to navigate. I also wish that there were alternate payment options to credit card, which is often my barrier to use. I prefer to use direct debit or PayPal so that the funds are withdrawn from my banking account. Finally, as Frescho is my normal shopping destination, I was disappointed to see such a large disparity in price for the same products, more expensive on the app than in store. With the 8 dollar delivery fee it would be great to have a virtual shopping opportunity that doesn't further penalize the user
